I don't know if it's just me but I feel like that this gun is still S tier but the gap from the other weapons has been reduced. Volt seems to be a good counter, even Flatline is deadly in CQC if you're good in hip firing. Not to mention Mastiff too, that shotgun is the real op gun to me lol.

Meanwhile the alternator still feels like a pile of crap in comparison lol, p2020 out performs it these days. XD

@Cro_Pittt It's still a great gun, but the Volt is better in every single way. The Mastiff can be good if you can be consistent with it. If you land headshots you'll drop people like flies.

@Cro_Pittt As far everything else goes the only competition the R-99 has is Mastiff, Volt and (if you have the skill) Wingman. Flatline and R-301 are not too far behind and are good picks.Everything else just doesn't compare

@Deliberus I wouldn't put Wingman in there just because you would have to nail every shot(I think 80% of the players can't do that lol). But right now if i have to choose i'll always pick the Mastiff over the R-99, sometimes even if you hit with all the bullets the enemy it isn't enough for him to die. As for the volt, it does more damage so if you have good aim you can outplay someone who has the r-99. Oh don't sleep on the Havoc too 😇.@MandatoryIDtag I don't know what's more useless, the gold Alternator or Double-tap xD.😛

@Deliberus Hmm, I do like the Mastiff honestly.

BUT

It is not a rival of the SMG's.

The Prowler, R-99 & Volt are miles ahead of the Mastiff. I've never seen anyone get two shotted with it when having full purple, gold or red shield it just doesn't hit right at that stage of the game.

I usually run Hemlok & Volt, or Hemlok & Prowler. I love using Volt & Prowler though.

@rockyboy1998 Except Mastiff is a rival for the SMGs that fits the same role, but with a different playstyle.

R-99 is currently the top dog, the Prowler used to share it but it's a care package weapon now and Volt has scarce ammo supply. While you may not see people being 2 shot, I certainly do, especially in CQC when corner peeking.

@rockyboy1998 Mastiff actually is a rival for the r-99, even if they are two completely different weapons. In CQC you'll always choose one of these two(and Volt this season). Personally i'll pick anytime the Mastiff so i can use the G7 as a primary. My favorite combo.

@rockyboy1998 100 dmg upper body. It can hit up to 110 if I’m correct full body and headshot is 145 or 155
