What's up with servers lately? Is it just me or have they been terrible?

I have not had a quality server in months. It’s as if my game is on a different version. No bullet registration ever. Maybe 1 in 4 bullets hit. It’s gotten to the point where I’m losing gunfights at range when I’m using a 30-30 and someone else is using a mastiff.  

At close and mid range I am losing 95% of all fights, like my bullets are just blanks - I see damage popping up but it's like just for the show, so long time ago I switched to 30-30 which I play exclusively this is the only weapon that I can actually kill someone with.

Other weapons is just like I am shooting blanks. All of this on 30ms ping, no packet loss, and no red connection icons. It's like the game is rigged.

I've been playing on the Oregon servers and since the new season started it has been terrible.  Most shots don't count until toward the end of the mag, or if they do it's a very low amount.   The Nemesis has been bad, with the first 5 or so shots not counting, and one whole mag of the L Star tonight only did 19 damage.   I know it's not a skill issue because I play Fortnite and Star Wars Hunters on Switch and get several kills per match, even winning some matches in those.  Those games don't have the cheater problem like apex does though.  I'm wondering if the cheaters/hackers have somehow overloaded the servers where stuff like this happens so our shots won't count.  

I do know the opposite of what they claimed for this season has happened on my end.  It takes much longer to get a kill now and the guns have been nerfed so low it takes 3 people to kill 1 person, and that's if you're lucky.
