I'm seeing a massive influx in hackers lately..I know they've always been there but seems like every match is getting worse. Is EA/Respawn doing anything about this crap...do they even care...like this game is not fun any more
@RecalledScorpI doubt Respawn is doing anything about it. Occasionally they'll ban a few of the worst cheaters, but I haven't heard anything recently.
Cheating has always been prevalent in Apex even in the early seasons but no way as bad as it is now but the rot really set in about 4 or 5 seasons ago.And the problem is whenever a new season starts in the game you think cheating cannot get any worse than the previous season it does.I've reported players blatantly cheating & have forwarded captured footage in the past but by some circumstance I've encountered there names in the same lobbies a month or so later.The whole reporting system in the game might as well be written on used toilet paper for all the use it actually is.And should God forbid a player does get banned for cheating up pops a new account within hours/days.I'm afraid cheating is just part & parcel of games like Apex,Fortnite etc as long as companies can't look past the pound/dollar sign & see these cheats as paying customers first & actual cheats a distant second.The whole cheating aspect has got so much worse because players who may have been on the receiving end of cheating in the past probably thought 'if I can't beat 'em I might as well join 'em' & the vicious circle just gains more momentum.The thing that makes me laugh about the whole mindsight & thought process of various game devs when they are forever tinkering around with weapon recoils & removing weapon attachments to make hitting the target harder is this only ever affects us genuine players & will not affect these 'so-called players' who will use Strke Paks (or any other paks),or any other zero recoil device or attachment.If anyone at EA/Respawn are looking at the record low player counts & wonder why? they only need to look no further than the rampant cheating & the terrible match-making as to why deserting players are moving on.
I had a real bad one just now where I unloaded a whole clip into a seer that had his back to me, had white armor on and the damage from the flatline did multiple headshots with damage in the 200s meaning this was a definite knockdown (the seer was in a bad spot and could not shoot back no matter what) and all he did was turn around and look at me without shooting and I was dead (the autokill patch).
I didn't expect to win this match and I made it into the top ten, but it upsets me a troll that's only there to upset people and not even enjoy the game just threw me out of a match that was getting fun. I had good armor and weapons in this one and was enjoying the back and forth shoot outs I had done.
A guy said we could report it on here by filling out a form, but how can we prove it on a system like switch lite? And it's like my brother told me, even if they ban a cheater, the cheater comes back with a fresh account and builds it back up again. It's sad that there is a group of people out there who only feel good by ruining the fun of others.
As I said before though, part of enjoying apex legends is not playing to win the game, but to have fun and just laugh along with the prankster when stuff like this happens.
