Rank dropped from Plat to Bronze for multiple splits recently

Perhaps they go by some metrics like k/d and dmg dealt etc. I have one account on d3 which I only play ranked with my premade friend. He also got to d3 but I got reset to one rank above him.  And when he is not online I play on another account solo Q. I only played 10 matches last season, from silver something to gold 3 and got reset to gold4.

Anyhow, resets doenst matter. Actually, it just make the ranked mode worse for the first period of time of each reset. Respawn doesnt take ranked seriously. They just want people to play but they dont care about fair competitive integrity.  For instance, right now in gold, there are full trios of ex preds and master, playing against "true" gold players who got reset to gold4 and semi-smurfs like me who are somewhere in between and everyone just drop hot and before round 1 is over, you are in the top 5 pretty much.. Sad. Like my last match,. Not even roudn 2 and 6 squads left on a enormous map

Usually, the drop is 6 ranks like yours, but from PLAT to BRONZE is a 12-rank drop, and it happened to me multiple times recently while my friends I play with drop from PLAT 3 to the end of Silver (6-rank drop)
I agree with you about easier RP gain in lower ranks, but it is still annoying to have to play more to get the point I think I should already be at.

i went from d3 to gold 4 i think the reason your rank dropped so dramatically is because you are in a lower tier rank and its easier to gain rp in the lower ranks therefore you drop more
