And I'm being negative?
Players at IV don't usually throw, no they don't. Now, what is true is the way the scoring system works is, if you beat more than 1/2 the teams at your same level, you LOSE points. This is what makes ranked super, super stupid.
You have to beat 75% or more of your same level peers at Plat, and more than that at Diamond. As dumb as this is, it is the only way you can get out of IV. That means, if you play your heart out, and get 9th, or 6th...sorry, you are better than most but you register as a IV. This is why a Plat III or above is really a Diamond IV who is just climbing. And a Diamond III or better is a Master, and so on.
Now, true, throwing happens. But, is throwing, and the small amount of it, really worth people quitting ranked? From a player perspective, maybe. From Respawn's perspective they have said it is not. Maybe they lied? I mean, I would say less chance of that than they don't really know and are fudging the answer here, skewing for what players cry about. This is the same as a weapon nerf response.
@Gabrielmojo26 What you say should be true. But, I've learned a lot from Respawn and how not to listen much to what they say. Definitely their commercials of how to play are almost the opposite of what one needs to do to climb. I don't know if you really want to answer this challenge, but I would say if you try one split of ranked, where you drop alone, away from your team, and ignore them as they die (or maybe you meet them in the final few rings if they can survive as a duo, which they should be able to do since you are surviving solo), then you will have a whole new perspective on how quickly you can get through ranks without a pre-made 3.
Don't do this if you want to live the fantasy of team play with the public. I mean, you won't rank as high, but you'll get to enjoy that bubble dream. If you want to seriously raise your rank, however, first thing you do is play with a premade 3. Barring that, drop solo and ignore your so-called pug pals.
