Ranked and it's system [question]

So I only play ranked after it started happening, but I can't seem to understand how are players able to climb in higher ranks?

When you reach gold you need 2 kills, despite how easy it sounds I'm sometimes left with only that one kill and around 1000 damage.

If Gold climbing requires 2+ kills how are you able to climb in even higher ranks? Plat, Diamond?

It almost feels like you have to be champion every game in the high divisions in order to climb. At least that's what I think...

How is climbing remotly possible for solo players? Why are the only criteria for climbing kills and how long did you survive the match?

Games have this feeling:

- you play a game, kill one guy, try to kill lot of guys throughout the game shredding their armor, getting them low to single digit hp, revive a teammate, help teammate up from ground, get respawned, the whole squad dies in a fight.

- Than after match you still lose rank despite your effort you put in there and you be like: "I've gave it my best yet I get punished for doing decent..."

Is high rank Apex only for cheaters, full squads and Wraith mains with 1000's of kills and 100's of kills in current season?

  • Don't forget assists count too.

Try and get involved with every gunfight fully, even if you only break a shield and your team finishes them off, that's still points.

To answer your question though...a lot of people just hide their way up to platinum and they then find themselves stuck way above their skill level as hiding no longer works in platinum.

Gold sucks, platinum is a plague.

  • @damsonwhufndthis  "but I can't seem to understand how are players able to climb in higher ranks?" most players do it by playing in a team, it's a huge advantage over soloq players

  • I managed top get diamond last half solo so it can be done. Higher than that is hard as your teams are random so it takes a lot of games. Sometimes you get a duo and they play well, other times you wonder how the people your playing with have climbed that high.

It's frustrating a lot of the time but those times you pull of a champion with randoms is so worth it.

Another thing I have noticed this season is a lot of squads at the end circles. Most people seem to be playing conservatively so don't try for the kills if it's gonna get you in strife, at gold you still get points for rank. Yes the kills are more fun but if you're going for rank it's an option.

I agree with Ragarath. The Plat lobbies is another field of play. You can NOT play Plat lobbies like you play Gold lobbies, and that is exactly what every random thinks. They quickly find out lol.

The people in Plat are much better, and by a far margin, than Gold lobbies. You got to be clever, and not blindly just fall into fights. Your enemy are the players waiting only for 3d Parties, and closely sticking together and  to get that 3d party timing right on time.

And that my friend is unfortunately the harsh truth about Plat. Diamond and up..

I find Diamond 3 lobbies impossible to climb. Its my 4th ranked season I just cant get past Diamond,  but we still have 30 days. I wont give up though.

PS: Obviously Diamond 3 is where all the best in the world meets. Its part of the fun 🙂

    @wongcung @Ragarath

yeah the 3rd party thing is happening as soon as you hit silver, you literally can't fight for too long or else someone else is going to come and ruin it with a 3rd party

and in Gold people seem to start using good parts of the map so last game I died to being cought in the open while my teammates were half dead with barely any gear
