Ranked Level Barrier Discussion

We've barrier already but the bar is very low.  It's tricky to find the "right" barrier. 

For my experience, player behaviour is based on player personality (not neccessary the rank/skill), some like to wonder and some like to stay as a group, some like to do whatever they want, some like to consider their team mate, some play just for fun.

Communication is key for team work. If you've mic and you communicate "nicely" (not bossy), your team mate might follow, it's all depend on your leadership skill.

I found if you share item first , you ping what they ask, you cover their back, you share med kit/ shield when they needed, you revive them, go yourway to respawn ,  you get their respect and they tend to follow you as leader.

Try to drop far away to build that bounding.

It's not easy with random, I've to play around 5 rounds until found a good partners.

Best way to avoid all these hassle, once you found good partner, send friend invite and keep playing with them or friends.

@GreenxxFire  I made a post of this two weeks ago. I fully agree that one should actually make the level 100 cap before jumping into ranked mode. That's the big leagues and people that are still in minor shouldn't be able to join.

I encounter a lot of low levels but i just started playing ranked this season but i had my fair share of ranked in season 2.

Yha, the lower levels weigh me a bit down but i'm playing my own game and if they need to be carried so be it.
That's what happens if you play with randoms, if i get a bit higher in the ranks, i'll find myself a team to play with so i cannot blame things on them. 

I somewhat agree that the level requirement needs to be higher to enter ranked because after level 10 you still haven't learned all basic interactions.
They don't have all basic game knowledge and know little to no experience in the unique play styles and tactics.

I think it's important to allow players to play ranked on a medium low level, because you cannot really De-Rank in lower levels and that is the place you learn the most.
You get mixed with different people and have a random play-style each game.

Around 30-50's should be a reasonable level to slowly jump into ranked if you ask my opinion.

They have already some game time and know the basic's of the weapons in game.
The game knowledge would be the biggest problem then but that is just to leaning speed that is for everyone different.

Well I'm level like...205 and in bronze. I am in bronze because I barely played ranked in season 2.

I'm personally of the opinon you just need to get that gold level badge to enter ranked, so lvl 100 minimum.

Anyone who think that's harsh, it doesn't take that long, and at least forces players to be familiar with weapons and items in the gane.

Getting teammates who still find "new" guns they never saw and randomly shoot them to see what they do frankly don't belong in a ranked mode.

Honestly the best way to "gate" it is to get a working matchmaker going.
I dont really try hard in ranked, only reason i play ranked is to maybe not get matched vs people who make playing this game a living. To be honest that doesnt even work since they drop people with thousands of kills in bronze 4 where im at.

If Respawn did what fortnite is trying to do right now with skill based matchmaking in normal play, im pretty sure most of the bad players would be more than happy to stay away from ranked.

And its kind of dispointing because i REALLY love Apex over Fortnite but it seems Respawn is always 3 steps behind Epic lately

Yup, started from scratch here this season. Bronze was just like playing duck hunter, didnt matter that my teams were bad as the enemy were equally terrible, silver has slowed right down for me as i'm plagued with madmen as jumpmasters who want to go  for the most populated drop without any skill to back this decision up. I'm pretty good but fighting off 4 squads with a p2020 and 30 rounds is not in my skill set. XD
