Okay so why is is that you can't queue up with friends who are a rank and a half difference from you, but you get put in matches with people multiple tiers higher than you. That makes no sense. Like i just played a match as silver 2. And there were multiple apex predator dive trails in tue game and then the squad who killed me where all plat 2 or higher. But im not allowed to queue up with my friend who's bronze 4? The * respawn?
nothing makes sense in ranked, the devs are just completely clueless
Pretty sure it was to prevent rank boosting.
As for the other way round, low population at that time for players in those higher ranks.

Cross play should help populate the ranked servers. The other thing would just be to force people to have longer wait times. Unless there arent even 60 people in the diamond and above tiers, which isnt true so just five a hard cut off that if you're in plat or above you cant match with lower tier players. And vice versa. It might increase wait times but to me id rather have that and know im getting in an even match than get * by some preds while on silver.
