Re: As a PC gamer I think it's time to move on

@Nost-xxas soon as "The Finals" will hit the Steam Store a lot of MnK players will leave Apex for good ... keep an eye on Finals and Apex Steam Charts and compare.
They learned not to overtune Aim Assist and you always have the option to OptOut of Crossplay , no matter if Console or Not ... and still had 7.5Mio players in Open Beta.
To the Respawn Apex Devs : This should be a warning sign, to adress the issues that have been brought up numerous times in the past.

Oh, my God...You feel the same way as I do!

Many users of Apex Legends in Korea hate the game due to a number of issues and aiming assist issues with the Tokyo server, and are interested in the finals at the same time... Although I love this game more than the finals....However, I think the finals will outperform the game in many ways soon! In many ways, such as users' preferences!

Honestly... ...I think it would have been better than now if Nexon, not EA, had taken over Respawn!

One can clearly see a downwards trend in this chart, and thats only steam figures.
Seems like PC players are fed up with the game itself or with the way the game is handled.
Until February 2023, new Seasons could always make up for the losses and even gain new players, but that has stopped since then and i looks like its getting worse.
I wonder what was put in place at that time ... maybe the infamous MM changes ?!?

@r1ggedgame The thing people miss with those charts- Year over year comparison of the same months shows higher player count. Each year player count always spikes at the anniversary and then drops with new seasons and events spiking counts slightly but not to what is seen at the anniversary.

@hayhor compare the amount of months of decline ... that was 2 months tops as you can see , then a new season kicked in or some new events which brought new players, now we have a 3 month decline span ... that should be a sign, also the average playercount is on a steady decline since Feb 2023
  • @r1ggedgame I was so excited about ( the finals ) and have been following it for almost a year now, and played the open beta.
it's a nice game, with good movement, and good graphics in general.
it lacks a few things which I'm sure will get fixed later and more things will be added,
But to be honest it will never replace Apex Legends, i was in the same spot as you and waiting for something to switch to, but after playing for a day I really figured it's not the same.
the main difference is between BR and team vs team objective mode, that's first.
second, the guns don't feel right and TTK is too long.
Apex perfected the TTK ( it's the only thing that is perfect and completely right in Apex ).
the finals is a good and nice game but it's not for everyone, especially for someone who is moving from Apex Legends.

one thing to add about it, SBMM is there and it changes very quickly and it's very similar to the one used in Apex.
I got to lvl 5 before the SBMM started to match me with people who are waaaay beyond my level, people who have been playing it for a long time while I still don't understand or know how to use a lot of things

@maximas1986 i guess that was also a reason for the open beta, to get that stuff figured out. lets see what the endproduct will look like. but i think, if The Finals hit the stores, a lot of MnK people will move away from Apex, which will result in even more unbalanced Matches in Apex, no matter if its a different game.
The one thing Respawn doesnt understand is , that competitive MnK people dont want any automatic messing with the game. The one fraction that complains the most, doesnt get their "safespace", but console people can just optout of crossplay and stay with alike, why dont the MnK players get the same option ? Would solve the whole discussion, then Rollers could play against roller, and MnK people can just tick the crossplay option if they want to join those games.
Would also likely fix some MM issues ...

@r1ggedgame Yeah, ours don't do anything however. That's why I said "no" to what you said. We can't opt-out. Only thing that happens is the system icon disappears on the player card, but you're still in a lobby full of Xbox and PC. I've even managed to be in a crossplay off TDM where I was the only player on PS.

@CCbathwater yet another misleading information on EA/respawn side ... like the skillgap in MM that should not be far off.

Here's a thought if you play MnK and have over a 1.00 k/d you are doing better than what 90% of the player base? That includes controller players 😃
