Re: Can devs view my apex pack history?

@SorryWeDied  I believe they can track what's been opened, but only within a 7 day period.

It isn't the greatest but i guess it would be an insane amount of data to track if it was over a long period.

@SorryWeDied I got curious about how many Apex packs I opened. So... I pulled up my bank and did a transaction search. It gave me a ballpark idea on the number of packs I've opened (give or take 20-30 packs). My best guess is I'm in the 390-400 pack range.

Now I will tell you, as your opening packs it seems to take a TON of packs to get to even the 400 marker. I was thinking I should be close to the heirloom by now. That's what motivated me to look at my transaction history on my end. In the mean time I have stock piled almost 10,000 crafting materials and have received a bunch of cool skins.

Just to answer a few questions, the odds of getting a heirloom are about .2%, those odds do not increase with each pack you open. It does not matter if you've opened 1 pack or 499 packs, it will always be .2%. There is simply a counter in the game that tracks the number of packs you have opened and on the 500th pack if you have not received one, it gives you one. If you receive one before you hit 500 packs, the counter is then reset. So if you've opened 250 packs and receive a heirloom on the 251st pack, then your counter is reset to 0.

When you open the pack, the RNG is stopped producing a number sequence, that number sequence correlates with items in the game. The animation that follows and the items you receive are all determined the moment you open the pack. For example the RNG stops at lets say 957, 9 would be linked to a legendary R-99 skin, 5 linked to a common quip, 7 to a rare gun charm.
