I wouldn't call making a video game based on a movie, a copy. The concept was taken from the movie, sure, but they are completely different mediums and experiences.

As far as I am aware, the first true Battle Roayl video game experience, as we know it today (large open map, free roam, random weapon/equipment spawns), was a community mod for ArmA 2 that was developed around 2012. 

PUBG was based on that mode, and all BR games copied most of the concept from PUBG from then on. Basic stuff like jumping out of air and landing where you want, with circles that get smaller. There are some BR games that deviated from those basic things slightly, but everyone else just uses the true and tried formula by now.

It's literally exactly the movie, even down to the very title. It's copied from the movie. This is not up for contention, it's a matter of fact.

@Vladplaya funny how well that image applies to you. Somehow it's not copied from the movie even tho it's even named after the movie, and you fail to see this point with some trajectory about how games and movies are different branches of entertainment.
