Re: Hot take: There are no casual multiplayer games anymore

@Cheese9Man I have to agree. I can't really think of a multiplayer game that is simply relaxing to play. I play Apex casually and have fun, but it's definitely not a relaxing experience at all, Lol. If I want to relax and truly play casual, I go for one of the many single-player games that I am currently playing. I've gotten to the point where I pretty much play 1-2 multiplayer games, and the rest are solo. I have always loved RPG's and other genres, so it's easy for me to hop on for a few matches on Apex, and then switch to another, completely different game. I haven't stuck to playing 1 game every day since the Halo 3 and Black Ops 1 days.

Also, Black Ops 1 is my favorite CoD as well. That was the first one where I played every day, and got really good at the game (plus, Zombies!!). I had played CoD4 and MW2, but not every day, and no where near the time spent on Blops, Lol. I tried hopping on again recently, and there were apparently well over 100k currently playing, but I gave up after it couldn't find a match for 10+ min.

@OldTreeCreeper I can kinda see that. I haven't played since the first season of Chapter 2, but it was definitely a pretty casual experience. Even in ranked, it never felt super sweaty to me. Granted, I was never playing in high-tier lobbies, but yea. I still need to hop back on one of these days just to give that no-build mode a try.

@Cheese9Man  I think more accurately it would be "there are no casual competitive multiplayers games"

Which makes sense really...in a competitive game people play to win, they're not the sort of games people play to unwind per say.

I think BR games are particularly bad (for lack of a better word) for this due to the fact you don't simply respawn seconds later when you die.
