Re: How do I link my Apex Legends account on Xbox One to my EA account?

Just an update, I was able to get it to work. For the moment, you have to use an EA account that has been linked to your Xbox account in the past. I was able to do this when I found my old EA account. If you have not owned an EA game before, I’m sure they’ll fix this problem soon, because there is still a month to get the prime pack.

If you never played an EA account before on the Xbox Gamertag it should prompt you to create an account when you load up the EA game.

A broader explanation can be found in the link below.

But that NEVER HAPPENED. I swear this is just not fair. Maybe if the game itself had the prompt in setting to connect and disconnect EA accounts this problem wouldn't be happening.

False, Apex has no such prompt, and Im defintely not buying another game to get this free thing. Is there really no other way to link accounts?

Thank you. I was able to do this when I found a different EA account that was linked to my Xbox from a while ago. Now I am just wondering why some people are claiming that they never got a prompt and how this is their first EA game.

  • Sadly, it’s mostly trial and error. Just use the emails that you would think would have been one you used with an EA account and see if you remember the password. If not, it is easy to send an email to reset the password. Also, you can even go to the create a new account and see if any of your emails already have an account. If they do, there is a chance that it is the one associated with your console account. You can check the connections in your settings.

See the thing is like me some peopl probably got asked to make an ea account the very first time they logged in and I decided I didn’t want to make that account so I skipped it and went on playing the game it never even asked me to sign in after that. Now I finally decided to make an account and I have no way to possibly connect it because it won’t ask me to sign in anymore since the first time and I never made an account before so ea is just being stupid for the time being and they should create a way where you could link your accounts online. That would solve this mess but we’ll see what they do because for a game as popular as apex they need to keep the people playing it happy. Ea needs to straighten this out.

If you visit Help.EA.com and sign in using the Microsoft/Xbox icon it will ask you to sign in with your Xbox credentials. Once you sign in, you "should" be prompted to link up your Gamertag to an EA account. It will ask you to create an email address, Origin ID, etc.

If it doesn't ask you this, that means it was already linked up a while back. If you signed in click on "Accounts" at the top of Help.EA.com and then "Change Email Address." You'll see what email address you have registered to the EA account.

But there was no prompt allowing us to sign into our EA accounts. There is also no setting allowing me to link my accounts. What am I supposed to do to claim my rewards?

Okay what do you do when you can only access the original EA account through an email that can’t be accessed anymore?
