Facts, controllers should play controllers. Too much assist.
When an 8 year old melts the competition using a controller...... get the point?
the game is easier with the ps4 controller imo. i think aim assist is only on the advanced controller setting though, its called "target compensation"
- @gg123xyz honestly I like Xbox One controller better... it took me awhile to get used to the left analog stick and the plus buttons being swapped but since I switched controllers I have never threw out those accidental punches mid gunfight, but to be fair it wasn't a genuine PS4 Controller that I was using it was a Logitech from Walmart that was shaped like a PS2 controller and had Xbox buttons lol
- @-BiA-Pesqez Some kids are born gaming prodigies. Just because they melt competition means they in fact are better then you. Nothing more to it. I play with friends with controllers and i dominate them at times with my mouse and keyboard.
@E9ine_AChonestly I just imagine an 8 year old mashing every button on the controller possible lol my neighbor had a younger brother do that on call of duty and actually beat us a few times and i did it myself when I was little on this basketball game and hit full court shots lmao and the guy was laughing so hard
- @-BiA-Pesqez You do realize Aim assist can cause problems? If you have 2 enemies close together it can pull your aim off of the target you're trying to shoot.
There is a reason controllers have aim assist. They need it, especially vs mouse and keyboard players. - @DarthValtrex i saw that happen a couple days ago my teammate was just curving around and lighting up the downed player while the guy was shooting at him I don't notice it happen to me that often though
@FaIIenAngeI777I was hiding next to some enemies, they were fairly blind. But as they would walk by you could see the hip fire cross hair move to them and follow a bit.
To answer the OP question, aimbot locks on. Aim assist just helps, but you still have to aim. Aim bot will result in more head shots, aim assist won’t..here's my ps4 settings i use on pc;
Well, I can "melt the competition" sometimes when Im drunk.. does that make alcohol and gaming OP? There are plenty of videos out there that explores the controller aim assist and what it basically seem to do is to slightly "curve" your sight towards a target if you just strafe straight perpendicularly to him. That assistance does NOT make up for the sight/movement-coordination and aim precision of a mouse+keyboard.

@DarthValtrex you are 100% correct , the problem with the K/M players who never tried controller say the aim assist is OP because they don't know the suffering of playing with controller so that's why there is aim assist.
with the mouse you can turn very easily and you feel free but with the controller you feel chained with the threshold and dead zones and glitch turning and moving around because of all the input lag and respond delay
and as you said aim assist is not always good and can cause you to lose a fight when you have two targets moving next to each other.
also you can not imagine the stress when you have to run and jump around , shoot , reload,swap weapons and use ability using a set of buttons that you have to release one to press the other one and it may or not respond from the first time .
i mean so many times when am in a fight i empty the first weapon and press to swap but it just don't happen and it just keep on reloading in the same time i will be moving left and right ,crouching and trying to jump using only 4 fingers as i need the rest to hold the dang thing as i can not use the R and L triggers all at once
and in the end the aim assist don't have that huge effect its just centralizing your aim a little bit only when you are aiming directly at the target so if you have a bad aim even that will not help - @maximas1986 I'm sort of curious are you playing on console or PC?
Some of the issues you mentioned might be lag related. Are you getting the packet loss symbol? It's red squares that will pop on and off...
Months ago I took my xbox off of wifi, switched to wired conneciton and that improved it a lot. This weekend I'm going to mess with my router/modem settings and see if I can improve things even more. - @DarthValtrex am playing on PS4 , and i play only with wired connection .
and the issues i mentioned is not only me who is facing it , i asked both of my regular team mates and they are having same issue.
tried different controller and its the same .
and without mentioning the issue with turning left and right not have same speed and accuracy .
i already reported that in this forum in the bug report
