Re: I was falsely banned

Hi all,

You've probably seen a post similar or just like this before but I wanted to write about my frustration about my situation in the forums because I've made more than 6 cases regarding my ban on Apex.

Just over exactly a month ago from now, it was just a casual night where I was playing pubs with my friends until my game seemed to freeze and pop up with a message box saying my game account has been banned. Me clearly in disbelief, I told my friends and restarted my game and PC in case it was some sort of bug which was not the case. I was genuinely confused. I checked my emails to see if EA had contacted me about being banned which they did and it stated:

"We noticed that your EA account broke EA’s gameplay rules.
Because your account was cheating, we’ve permanently blocked your access to Apex Legends’ online features

When we talk about cheating, we mean things like using external tools, performing in-game exploits, or abusing glitches or bugs"

I was stunned because I know I'm a legitimate player, my friends know that and I certainly have all the proof that I am a legitimate player. I've been a loyal EA member for over 3 years, I've been playing Apex consistently for over a year, and on top of that majority of my gameplay has been live-streamed on Twitch; not only that I have posted several clips on TikTok and YouTube and I have 100s of clips stored on my computer. Never once have I considered cheating or performing any sort of exploit or glitch because I did not want to risk a ban for a game that I played daily, there seriously was not another game I could think of playing if Apex was not an option for me.

Regardless, I made some ban appeals on EA's help site and the first two were full detailed inquiries of everything I had to tell them. And their responses to it? First response:

"Hello,
Thanks for contacting us about your account action.
We got your note and did a full investigation of your account. After reviewing your case, we determined that we took the correct action in accordance with EA policies and procedures.
What this means
We have confirmed that your account was involved in cheating. Because of this, we will not remove the sanction on your account.
You break our rules if you:
• use software that interferes with or disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use undocumented features, exploits or cheats in-game that disrupts an EA Service or another user’s account.
• use software or cheats that disconnects other users from the EA servers"

Second response:

"Hello,
We have received your most recent correspondence expressing concerns about the action that was taken on your account.
After thoroughly investigating your account and concern, we again found that we actioned your account correctly after it was found to have violated our User Agreement. We will also be unable to provide any details regarding our internal procedures.
Due to this violation, we will not remove the sanction that was applied to your account.
You can review the full User Agreement at http://tos.ea.com/legalapp/WEBTERMS/US/en/PC/

After completing two full investigations into your complaint, we consider this matter closed.
Thank you,
EA Terms of Service"

After those two cases were responded two, the rest were disregarded with automated messages saying

"Hello,
we received your latest message regarding the action taken on your account. We have performed all investigations possible on this issue and will not reverse the decision.
Please do not expect further responses on this matter.
Thank you,
EA Terms of Service"

My account has not been hacked into, I have checked all the IP Login locations to my account which were all authorized by myself. There was nothing else I could do to help this situation, I was not cheating nor doing anything that could of broken EA's TOS or Gameplay Rules. What makes the situation more confusing is I am still able to play on other alt accounts on my PC, if E considers me cheating then surely just an account ban isn't going to stop a "cheater"; they will just make a new account and continue their cheating. I've been trying so hard to get my account back and if I really was cheating I wouldn't try this hard and just make a fresh account and continue my so-called "cheating".

Sorry for the insanely long post.

You checked with your buddy if he used any glitches or hacks, you can get banned for playing in a premade with a cheater?

Did you smurf by EAs definition?

Did you exploit any of the known exploits at any time, like the zipline glitch, chargerifle, sentinel, rampage or the like glitched, perhaps the kinetic feeder glitch? Did you use a controller with mods, jitter aim, soft aim, anti recoil, macros, modify game config files to gain extra advantages not available through normal config or otherwise?

And the list goes on, there is a lot of things that was bugs and known ways of gaining an edge either in ranked or pubs, Respawn have logs to check if you did.

I would go through these reasons, and in general my advice to anyone in such situation is to try think what you can have been banned for and see if you have proof otherwise. I see a lot of people spending their 2 application tries without thinking things through when it comes to how to apply for the unban. When the 3rd strike comes your in general lost.
