Caustic is fun, Gibraltar is not lol. Caustic skill and ultimate have more depth. The only thing I like about gibraltar is his ultimate, nothing else, even with that he's still boring.

I already talked about hiding and placing gas traps, this isn't a problem if you're careful.

Caustic might be fun but a lot of people think that he does move slower in the game, plus his Hitbox is certainly bigger.

With all the cheating going on, I'm going to stick with either Mirage or Lifeline, with the smaller hitboxs...

That's why I said it's better to forget " All legends move the same speed" even though it's right.

By nature ( and by design), Caustic is a slow legend and nothing's wrong with that. Not about the speed, his skillset, his playstyle makes him a slow moving legend. He needs to be slow in order to be effective

To avoid an confusion for others, Caustic and Gibraltar have slower running animations but still run at the same speed as other Legends.

 

If you're a defensive type of players that likes to "lure" enemies towards you, Caustic might be the Legend to roll with.

Problem with both Caustic and Gib, is they excel at static confrontations.

They are both strong at the drop but there strengths falter or out right disappear as the match progresses.

Since no one knows exact center will be, everyone needs to move; (this, btw, is what makes the game fun. It is very fast paced for a BR and a lot of fast action gunfights)

Neither of these legends are strong in these situations. 

Caustics traps are just an annoyance to other teams and let them know a caustic was here; (yes let you know they are coming too) but have no tactical use in the moment.That is unless u feel like locking yourself in a room hoping the enemy has no nades.

Plus, his gases affect his own team, slowing and blinding them.  Remove the Team slow and make friendly gas a different color.

Gib has similar prob.  His Passive is useless because u stand still to use it. By end game, kitted out 301's, 99's chew threw it faster than is healthy for Gib.

Stationary target is easy to hit, while enemy bounces, swings, and runs around making it hard to shoot them.

His Alt is amazing, but needs to be faster to make him even a bit scary,. 

His passive should link to his knock shield thus improving as game advances.

Also get rid of slow run animation, it creates an illusion of slowness that deters from people wanting to play it.

Bottom line: both are still sub par, the game design and the current Meta work against both legend's strengths and expose their weaknesses.

They aren't fun, they make you feel you are handicapping not only yourself but your team

I've pulled off some cheeky combinations using Gib's dome of protection but since its so slow to deploy that often fails. Gib has no answers when you close the distance on him and most teams force a close range fight. The only thing I manage to do in a close range fight without my dome is to ult my own position to hopefully catch greedy players.

I really enjoy Caustic. His evil personality sets him apart from the other legends. His abilities can give your team a lot of advantage if used right. One problem I have with this legend is that he sometimes falls too easily (one-two shots), maybe an issue related to the fortified bug, too big hitbox or cheaters behind the shots. Deploying a gas canister should be faster and also deal a small amount damage (10) if it hits an enemy when thrown.

Gibraltar doesn't feel as strong as his name suggests. His gun shield helps , but not against headshots, while his dome of protection is more like a trap, giving away the team's position and also allowing enemies to move closer and prepare, since you can't shoot outside. Maybe having it deal damage to enemies that step inside (could be just like outside the ring) or allowing at least Gibraltar to shoot outside, things could improve a little. Also, considering how big of a target the is, maybe the fortified passive could be cranked up a notch.
