You should be able to mute squad members in game. While playing you should be able to hit tab, at the top there is a tab for Squad. Going to the squad screen gives you the option to mute their voice, pings, or chat.

I haven't checked, but you may even be able to add from that screen as well. If not, I think giving the option to add there as well, or at the end stats splash page would be an awesome idea.
