It's nice to read that someone new is starting Apex, but I'm so terribly sad that every new player has such terrible matchmaking as someone who has spent several thousand hours in this game. This is so unfair that I know exactly how you feel.
Unfortunately, EA/Respawn does not comment on difficult topics or those for which they do not have ready answers, so don't expect anything to change.
Someone wrote that the matchmaking system was changed in season 3 (I didn't play then and I don't know if it's true). If this has been a problem for nearly 20 seasons, it means that EA/Respawn is unable or unwilling to change it.
As someone has already mentioned - matchmaking is one thing, but in fact there are many cheaters and, unfortunately, they are becoming more and more difficult to detect. Less and less people use aim bot alone, and more often use wallhack + various scripts that do reduce recoil, e.g. Cronus Zen. Apex cannot cope with this at all, and it has only gotten worse for about 2-3 seasons.
Either way, I wish you good luck and I hope you will find something cool for yourself in this game. 🙂
