Re: No warning for trying the flying Rampart glitch? Just immediate permaban??

@Sprinkah Making a second thread about the same ban will not alter the course of action. You found an exploit and decided to utilize it, even though the Terms of Service agreement you signed when you started playing explicitly states that exploit use is grounds for termination. Why your friend isn't banned is beyond me, but it does not matter in regards to your own ban.

  • @EryxApexoh cmon, I just wonder about why the bloody hell did I not get a damn warning like the others did...Like, shouldn't I be given at least A CHANCE to rectify myself, me and my friend only went crypto and rampart for several matches but we didn't use the exploit like...EVERY TIME, we did it like 2-3 times but it was just for flying around, seeing how it felt. I get that it was still an exploit but...abusing? It's really far-fetched, most of the fighting we did was just normal gameplay? I'd understand if I got banned AFTER getting a WARNING but I didn't even get that...

Also, I'm just baffled about why content creators not get banned or get any form of punishment, free to spread and make content about exploits like that is beyond me, don't you think this is like...unfair, like at all?

  • @Sprinkah Don't get me wrong, I agree that you being banned while others go on without any repercussions is unfair, shady, questionable. Unfortunately, most topics on Apex AHQ have those traits in common, so I guess it's a recurring trait to the game itself...
  • @EryxApex Well at least we can agree on that....still doesn't explain why i did not get a warning like some people I talked to on discord did...Like, no warning at all. I should have gotten a warning, shouldn't I??

Isn't this Respawn/EA's blunder? I know it's partly my fault too but isn't it their responsibility to also carry this whole thing out....consistently? Warning before ban?

Well I dunno about TOS team but I did send a ticket under the Manage My Account/ Banned and Suspension category a week+ ago

I finally got response from them today, it said that my ban is...deserved. I'd have agreed if I continued to break the rules AFTER GETTING A WARNING, but again...I did not get one so now I'm wondering if they didn't even give me a chance like the others or something...

I sent another ticket about not getting a warning via email, I hope that I'll get some kind of answer from this...hopefully. All I've gotten so far are pre-written messages (I assume) so I'm not exactly...hopeful.

  • @EryxApex I dunno dude, maybe that's it but I asked around, some of the people I asked also did the exploit at least twice in a roll. Obviously, warning isn't going to come immediately after you use it...

@BaldWraithSimp well it mentioned I was banned for cheating, and I'm pretty sure exploits and glitches also apply in there, which imo is rather...dumb but hey who am I to argue with the rules set up....I just think i should have gotten a fair warning for what I did...like the people I asked around, that's all. It's not like i was cheating with a 3rd party software or hacks or anything like that so isn't a warning so much to ask? If that's even a thing....I don't even know...

For my two penneth, I think this is grossly unfair, especially as it's Respawn's * up.

We do not know how Crypto powers his drone, and what it is capable of. How are players to know it should not be able to support Sheila and Rampart? The drone has no obvious powers of flight, aside from the fact it can defy gravity.

I mean, FFS, Horizon can carry around a black hole in her pocket, Loba can teleport, Wraith can switch to an alternative reality and Revenant can cheat death.

Unless I am missing something here Respawn should just have said "very clever guys, but we didn't intend the drone/Sheila to be used in this way, so we're curtailing your fun."

I don't think it counts as an exploit, but I can see why it was removed from the game. I don't agree with banning players for using it.

I hate the unlevel playing field for top streamers and normal people. Zylbrand (or whatever his name is) can get away with teaming up with an entire server to get 200+ kills in one game, yet normal people are reported for teaming with one non-squad player.

  • @EdwardDLuffy Yes, it's pretty common sense to know that it's a exploit. Let's say the bans are unfair and Respawn needs to be impartial. But 'how will players know what is and what isn't exploit' is a pretty dumb argument. Respawn doesn't need to list out every possible exploit.

The best they can do is patch them. And players who do the exploits very well know that it counts as one lol

  • Tried to exploit... gets banned, and is surprised

Thats usually what people get for exploiting bugs and its well deserved

@BaldWraithSimp I did not say "how will players know what and what isn't exploit". If I have a white shield, use the death totem, and when I get back I now have a red shield, then it's pretty obvious that's a bug and needs reporting.

I don't see why Crypto's drone, which just 'hangs there' without any visible means of support and flies around without any visible means of propulsion, should simply be assumed 'too feeble' to carry Rampart and Sheila. Pathfinder can quite easily attach himself to it, after all, and I assume as a 7-foot tall robot carrying two guns and a fully-laden backpack, he's quite heavy.

    @matzesingtok but...warninggg??? I'm pretty sure I should've gotten a warning or sth?????

plus cmon, if you look at countless of videos of people using it, some even saying "YOU GOTTA TRY OUT THIS NEW GLITCH" "SECRET RAMPART BUFF" BLAH BLAH BLAH, you'd think it's also fine to play around with it a bit...
