For my two penneth, I think this is grossly unfair, especially as it's Respawn's * up.
We do not know how Crypto powers his drone, and what it is capable of. How are players to know it should not be able to support Sheila and Rampart? The drone has no obvious powers of flight, aside from the fact it can defy gravity.
I mean, FFS, Horizon can carry around a black hole in her pocket, Loba can teleport, Wraith can switch to an alternative reality and Revenant can cheat death.
Unless I am missing something here Respawn should just have said "very clever guys, but we didn't intend the drone/Sheila to be used in this way, so we're curtailing your fun."
I don't think it counts as an exploit, but I can see why it was removed from the game. I don't agree with banning players for using it.
I hate the unlevel playing field for top streamers and normal people. Zylbrand (or whatever his name is) can get away with teaming up with an entire server to get 200+ kills in one game, yet normal people are reported for teaming with one non-squad player.
The best they can do is patch them. And players who do the exploits very well know that it counts as one lol
- 5 years ago@BaldWraithSimp I did not say "how will players know what and what isn't exploit". If I have a white shield, use the death totem, and when I get back I now have a red shield, then it's pretty obvious that's a bug and needs reporting.
I don't see why Crypto's drone, which just 'hangs there' without any visible means of support and flies around without any visible means of propulsion, should simply be assumed 'too feeble' to carry Rampart and Sheila. Pathfinder can quite easily attach himself to it, after all, and I assume as a 7-foot tall robot carrying two guns and a fully-laden backpack, he's quite heavy.
