Re: Posting this everyday until I get a response. Day#2

@JamieFameFlame I mainly look out for myself in matches, (meaning I do what I can to stay alive). If the team seems like they're trying, (and they're working with me to some degree), I do try to work with them as well.

I've also had to deal with toxic players, from players throwing the match, to running off solo, to name calling, etc. In the end, I can't do much about players who get themselves eliminated on purpose during a match, (besides reporting them for "sabotage", if it was clear that it was their intention to ruin the match for their teammates).

Furthermore, I remember making a thread asking for an option to auto mute players, so we wouldn't have to keep manually muting teammates at the start of the match, (or during the match when they start being toxic). To my surprise, Respawn did add this setting in.

Under the first settings tab labeled "Gameplay", there's an option called "Communication Filter". Set this setting to "Friends Only" or to "No One", (mine for example, is set to "Friends Only").

In short, you can't control what teammates do and don't do, but you can at least block their voice/text chat. Ever since I've turned the "Communication Filter" on to "Friends Only", I haven't had an issue with teammates. Some randoms do still throw the match, but it has less of an impact, now that I don't have to hear or read what they have to say along with it.

    @Midnight9746

Now that makes sense, thank you 🙂

I know that I am able to "cut off" the communications in various ways, but it is still valid for those who do not, so again thank you.

I leave the option on, for the players who rely on communication in game, those are the guys I do not want to dissapoint.
Unfortunately, more often than not, those guys do not get to be a part of my team 🙂
I am trying to think of a way for Respawn to split the players into two categories without making it seem like one group is accepted more than the other, but the answer has not come to mind yet.
There is nothing wrong with people caring about the game in different ways, but the people who want to blame the world around them should do so to people who blame the world around them just the same.
The answer is not go play another mode, because everyone plays all the different modes.
I guess it would be a part of the matchmaking system.
And what I mean is; I can win a game easily at my current rank, it is not an issue, and I did so today, no warmups just went into a game and won.
I had a couple of good games, and then it started.
I am now below the RP value I had, before I started playing today, and I started with a win.
My losses are solely occuring because of sabotage, pure and simple. I am sure I am not in the rank where I should be, there are limits to what you can do on your own, if the only thing your teammates do is run into different teams getting knocked and ressed all the time.

But I guess i will give the "Friends only" communcation filter a go, and see what happens. So for the third time, thank you for your answer, I appreciate it!

@JamieFameFlame The chat filter won't stop someone from playing their way, but at least when they go down, you won't have the added stress.

Just know that anyone you manually unmute, tends to stay unmuted, so you may hear those players still.

Exactly. i will prefer being free from listening to their abusive comments afterwards.

I know what mean, but I guess I will not have to mute them manually if choose to go with the filter option.
