- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@Koochi-Q I don't think they can.. This is state wide outages, they would have to travel hundreds of miles to find power.
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@Koochi-Q Hey now, you crossed a line there... I will say, 15 of the worlds top 20 colleges are in the US...
It's honestly happening because of unusual weather patterns that certain areas normally don't receive. The infrastructure is not designed to handle it. It would be like Europe being hit with a typhoon.. Europes infrastructure is not designed for that type of weather so it would create major problems. - @DarthValtrex The green new deal is working!
We had a storm like that here nearly 20 years ago. Only we got like a foot of snow & lots of ice too. So much that branches were breaking off trees & weighing down the power lines. Power was out state wide. 8 states sent electric crews to help. Our power was out maybe a week.
What's happening in TX reminds me to invest more in renewable energy so that I don't have to depend on a city power grid. The former mayor of one TX city told their citizens the city owes them nothing & to figure it out smh.
@Koochi-Q Most of the powers are used for mining bitcoins, new digital gold ๐
100 Mhw for ONE bitcoin , just 1 !
How many houses can 1 MW power?
For conventional generators, such as a coal plant, a megawatt of capacity will produce electricity that equates to about the same amount of electricity consumed by 400 to 900 homes in a year.So mining 1 bitcoins consume 1 year electric usage of 90,000 houses !he @Koochi-Q say "US SUCKS" i give XP
@DarthValtrexsay " Hey now, you crossed a line there" i give XP
if i maximas1986 say " both sucks ", will I get double XP ? ๐@asukojoWell, I saw your post about this but it looks like it's been deleted.
Anyway, this power hunger caused by the digital world is definitely to be watched. I think gaming can go on the same path as bitcoin mining in the future. Gaming stations are approaching 1 KWh in power supply and it will surely go higher as the level of demand grows (more realistic physics, advanced AI, large scale maps, ultrarealistic graphics, etc.). The number of players is also on a constant rise, so there will be more and more power hungry machines.
- @maximas1986 I always give XP!
- @Koochi-Q I know you are fanta guy ....mm nice guy I mean ๐
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@maximas1986 @Koochi-Q I think it's cool to take pride your Country. But honestly we all contribute things to each other and bring different things to the table. Plus I really wonder if American colleges would hold the top 15 places if it were not for the draw? Most of their students are from other Countries.. I remember watching a lecture by a top theoretical physics professor, anyways he stated that specific year had 0 American students...
@DarthValtrexTaking pride in anything you love is all right by me. Even if others may not agree. Freedom of speech and all that!
@maximas1986 all fanta ppl are bubbly and sparkly inside while Cola ppl are all black like phlegm xD ๐
- DarthValtrex5 years agoHero (Retired)@Koochi-Q Where do coffee drinkers fall into this mix?
- @DarthValtrex I donโt drink coffee cause I heard it tastes bitter and I donโt need a stimulant to keep me awake... so my opinion about it is indifferent...
However, if something isnโt bubbly & sparkly or juicy... it already gets a negative review from me
