To keep it simple, soft cheating is using toned down versions of cheating programs. For example, instead of using a full-on Aimbot that misses without fail, players will use a lessened version where the program will allow them to miss shots. However, this Aimbot will still lock on to an enemy like any other.
The reason why this is so effective is the hack is less noticeable to Anti-Cheat. So when the user is logging in with this program installed, Anti-Cheat doesn’t pick it up. It's very popular in Singapore sever.

Its different for console and PC, but on PC it will:
Track for you, severely dampen recoil, track through smoke, etc.
Close quarter it essentially makes you unable to miss, and able to easily adjust for headshots as you adjust inside of the tracking it does automatically for you. I played a lot of fps games since i was young, for me i think apex have the most hacker. I can tell for sure that i met a lot of soft hack. I'm rank LE in csgo and the reasons that im sure because i watch how they play. If u are good at playing fps game you can tells from watch them play.
Aim assist does not do any of the things you said. It only slows the reticle down as you move it over someone and very slightly rotates if the person you are aiming at moves. It will not track for you. If you don’t move the reticle then when the person moves they move out of the aim assist window. I play on both console and pc and the recoil is the same. I have also used a mouse to test this and the recoil patterns are the same for both. It does start to slow your reticle through smoke but only a fraction before the smoke becomes see through. When i play the quest the aim assist is obvious, i don't notice any aim assist in live games.

- @Mr_Mi5ch13f_2 Basically macro's that counter recoil for specific guns. AutoHotKey is the standard for this kind of thing because there is a macro that can hide the fact someone is running AutoHotKey. There are plenty of keyboards and mice that can run macro's as well. They usually need it set up for the guns they prefer and it all lines up once they find the guns.
The people using these things are posers who think they are good. Before you ask me to simply "git gud", I have 4k damage badges and triple triple on 3 of my legends and also have 20 kill on octane. I play competitively and am pretty experienced. I can tell you that things like receiving 100% successful tracking damage on a zipline are blatantly obvious to players, but the algorithm simply cannot catch on. If u dont believe this just comes to Singapore database sever, even noob have accurately aim like apex predators. Im pc players.
- @Mr_Mi5ch13f_2 What I saw in this video you linked, was a guy who could very quickly lock onto targets, due to slowed reticle that extremely 'gravitated' to enemies, that made it really easy to shoot the right direction.
This made it super easy for him to stay on target while the game shifted his aim left and right, and all that was required from him was to vaguely push down to completely remove recoil (as its slowed down, he doesn't have to worry about going off target) and aiming within the reticle tracking.
I don't care if consoles have this, but this makes it extremely easy for decent controller players to stay locked on target, so when you compare it to mouse and keyboard, its a huge advantage to aiming. And aiming is the single most important thing. If you can aim well, you'll win nearly every fight even if someone can move better than you. - @Nasher355 When you have a system that slows down your aim, helping you stay locked onto the target, that 'does' provide a huge advantage to aiming.
The problem is that you have a mix of controllers using aim assist, with keyboard/mouse users on PC. If they separate the two, I wouldn't care at all, but they mix them, and expect mouse users to compete with basically low power aimbot users.
This isn't an argument of 'git gud' for anyone immature enough to say this. Thats what SBMM is for. If I suck, I should get to play against other sucky players. But instead, if I suck with mouse/keyboard, a large part of the time I play against controller users who can't control 'as well' but get powerful aim benefits, especially in close battles. @4ccbf460f7b926b1 Even my friends that rank apex predators telling me that it's normal for me to meet many soft cheat users in sea (especially Singapore sever)
@Daze623 i already changed to tokyo today and that made me feel a lot better. Before i change to Erania99 i use RomeoAddict as my username and the picture is my best game play. I dont really play apex often and i used to giving up due to cheating problems in the past. I met a lot of apex predators in casual game because of this matchmaking system but the most i saw in season 4 is apex predators in my squad or others squad get rekt by hacker. In this season it's not unplayable like season 4 but still met hacker a lot. Thanks for ur suggestions now i feel a lot better in Tokyo sever.

- @Erania99 I do not use macros's. I consider macro's cheating as it is automation. Anything that removes the human input should not be allowed.
@GRiPSViGiL @ I can tell for sure that you not good at fps or shooting game considering from how you thought about macro. Yes It make the recoil easier to control but it's not improve your accuracy. For example noob with macro good at spray but high skill player can knock you out with insane tracking aim before you can even shoot. I can easily get to rank diamond in rainbow6, low skill player like you with macro can get diamonds rank? No way. It's impossible cuz macro is not everything.
@GRiPSViGiL that is good for yourself not using macro but u shouldn't think that macros can help someone aim literally like pro players or apex predators that not gonna happen. Can macro help u perfectly tracking some one flying and hit every single bullet?. I'm taking about soft cheat problems not noob with macro. Noob with macro can't beat me lmao.

Your logic is absurd. You are actually trying to claim that a macro that cancels out a recoil pattern doesn't improve aim? It does...it allows you to ignore the recoil pattern and just track the target.
Never did I say a macro makes someone a Pro level player. Macro's are a form of soft cheating...typically they are banned if the user doesn't hide their use to their system. It is in the same boat as running a tuned down aimbot to some degree.

What a weirdo. @GRiPSViGiL because for me macro only help little i dont think that way from ur namn i thought that you hav play rainbow6 before. Mainly i play rainbow6 and they are many macro users and i can tells for sure from the weido spray sound some of my friends who stuck at plat 3 use it and what i saw is yes it can help you from potato ur aima little. But when i quqe up with my friends he can't even play cuz of lack game sense and still potato sometimes. I think only noob will using macro. I'm not full of myself there are many people who played better than me. Just like i said can u get to diamond rank in rainbow6 like me or having 20kill and 4k damage in apex. I'm talking about aimbot that ur marco has nothing to do win. They are so many users in sea sever. I think u will never met cuz of matchmaking systems will never matches someone who suck at the game like u to highlevel or some hacker that the system can't detect. Sadly U will match to the same kind of people in casual mode.
All I see in this thread is loads of players with a lot of knowledge behind how macros work, even some saying it might not even be considered cheating.... RESPAWN, DO SOMETHING, AND PUT UP PROPER INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT IS ALLOWED AND WHAT IS NOT. HAVE IT APPEAR EVERYTIME WE LOGG INTO THE GAME.
Sometimes I question respawns lack o communication might be due to they being the ones making money on cheats.... This game is inested with cheaters and most players have lost hope.
