Re: Weapon Spotlight - R-301 and P2020
R301 is obviously a top tier weapon, high accuracy and low recoil (especially with a purple stock) makes it easy to lazer someone at a distance.
I disagree with others saying it's good for all occasions tho, since it's an AR your strafe speed while aiming down sights is very slow, you're almost rooted to the ground.
If I have an R99 and I know the enemy has an R301 I just get into a close range fight with them since the R99 allows you to strafe much faster I pretty much always win.
As for the p2020
I may need a damage buff, it's 12 damage per body shot and 10 round magazine means you can't afford to mis even a single shot on someone, miss, and you won't knock someone in the opening fights, and that means you're usually dead since it's likely your enemy has a better weapon.
[Edit]
I wanted to give some extra info about why I think the p2020 would deserve a small damage buff.
Specifically from 12 to 14 damage.
In this game, it's very convenient that ammo is lumped into groups light, heavy, etc, which makes looting/managing ammo much more convenient. But based on weapon damage, it seems the developers did intend there to be a difference between ammo within light ammo guns in this example.
Ill start with the R99, dealing 12 damage per shot (counting torso hits in this breakdown. Opposed to 14 damage for the R301.
It seems that the R99 like it's real world counterpart high fire rate, low caliber SMG's would fire 0.7 mm ammunition.
And the R301 would fire 0.9mm ammo, justifying the difference in damage. Most semi auto pistols tend to fire 0.9mm rounds.
Following that logic, a damage buff from 12 to 14 could be justified on the basis that it fires 0.9mm ammunition, giving it 14 damage like the R301, as opposed to the 12 damage from the R99 which seems to be firing 0.7mm rounds.
