Apex’s sound effects have become noisier over the past few years

Just watch any Apex gameplay footage from three or four years ago and you’ll notice it immediately — the gunshots and ambient sounds were way more comfortable back then. The SFX updates over the past few years have honestly made the game feel unpleasant to play.

When every part of the game tries to change things up to keep players from getting bored, the end result is just a chaotic mess, becoming increasingly bloated, less fun and more exhausting to play.
