Why don't more ppl upgrade shields at the crafter?

Like seriously, I almost NEVER see anyone do it. Players are running around with blue shields, 100+ crafting materials and just casually run by the crafter like it doesn't exist. Realistically probab...

    I honestly believe most teammates I run across are unaware of what a crafter does, are unaware that shield upgrades are an option, or at best are unaware that you can run a blue shield through the crafter twice to get to level three, assuming you have enough materials. I try, as always, to lead by example, but most people are in their own little world which consists almost exclusively of trying to find a fight with varying degrees of desperation and no regard whatsoever for preparedness.

@DankToliet If I stop to upgrade or craft anything, that damn rando Octane will be gone, get himself downed and all I will hear for the rest of the game is that I didn't push with him and the banner ping.
Otherwise, I would use it.

    Currently the top 2 things to do with the crafter are; 1. Craft armor to purple rank.  and 2. Craft any item with a nearby active fire fight happening.  Then step back into the shadows for the ambush. 😉

    The 3rd thing I do with the crafter is to use the banner crafter when playing the support class.  I have done this a lot over this season.  He keeps dying and I keep bringing him back.  I can hear him from the other room shouting, "Oh my God! Will you just let me die already?!".  The new banner feature is super awesome, as it will make the banner, and bring your team mate back from the cold grave.  It is great being the necromancer!
