I don't play on console but I do agree it's daunting to have to start over through no fault of your own. Other games like Fortnite and Warframe allow you to transfer progress over too, so it's not like this is a new thing no one has ever seen before.

However, the devs have mentioned repeatedly that cross-play will be coming for Apex, though there's no permanent timeline out for that. Hopefully when cross-play hits, being able to transfer progression will also come with it.
