I get a real kick out of both atheists and zealots. BOTH of you want everyone else to believe as you do. If we don't, you beat us over the head with your beliefs. Atheists are a belief system and they do everything they lament about the faithful doing. Both sides of the coin go out of their way to "prove" themselves correct. I know you want to reply trying to "prove" your point of view, but it is only an opinion. Your opinion only matters to you and those who believe, I wish you all would stop trying to force your opinion on us too.
This and many other video games deal with religion because it is a valid part of world history. Assassin's Creed is all about Islam, Judaism, and Christianity... so I'm guessing your not a big fan of Assassin's Creed. Some one decades ago vented about this topic on Guild Wars, just because of a title "The Meek Shall Inherit" I believe was the title. Yet they seemed fine playing fighting Naga, Necromancers, and all other sorts of religious deities... at one point in the story arc, we went to Hell to kill Satan.

Second and more importantly look how Aerith prayed for holy when she got killed…
She prays like a Christian on her knees hands intertwined.in the remake you see her pray in such a pose multiple times even, I didn’t play the remake but she seems to even have a prayer skill.
the whole holy theme is designed arround christianity that’s why Alexander appears often with giant angel wings, holy is overall considered a sacred power in the games, Alexander literrly casts Divine judgement… even the final fantasy wiki acknowledges where it’s from.
paired with praying for it and how aerith specificly prays for it, it should be relatively obvious where the inspiration comes from…
even in ff 14 you have archbishop Thordan and a church 100% based on Christianity.
you might not like it but Christianity clearly took its influence on ff
