Does anything actually happen if you report people for leaving the game?

Wouldnt make me wonder if one of the "other variables" mentioned in one of the matchmaking blog posts is the reporting rate.
kinda like a "shadow ban". Would partly explain why the matchmaking isnt working as "advertised"
