RP loss?

So i have a question about RP in ranked. So if I die with zero kills in the beginning and they refuse or cant take my banner, will i get the same amount of RP loss if i leave straight away when my...

    @netroopia if you die and leave right away, after banner goes away, you'll you get negative RP, but if you die right away and stay until the end game there is a chance you'll get positive RP.

@spimmy_x That definitely sounds more like what I am expecting for my own games. I'll hopefully be getting into more ranked Arena this week, so I'll just have to see how it goes! I don't understand how people would get negative RP for a win though. Curious to see if it happens to me too, as I get more ranked matches under my belt.

@dSKyNafinchin I got plat4 last night, but want to go for diamond/diamond this season, just not sure it'll be possible since i solo q most of the time.
