Run and Hide

The list of possible reasons for this behavior is as long as my arm, and a lot of it is perfectly legitimate. It may not be a certain path to master, but most players are never going to get to master anyway. So they look for other ways to entertain themselves when:

• they find themselves in a lobby they think they shouldn't be in.
• they don't like or have any confidence in their squad.
• see that their squamate is good enough to carry them to positive rp even if they themselves do nothing at all.
• I could go on forever here, but you get the idea.

The idea that every single player in the game enters into matches with the exact same mindset, match goals, attitude, or skill set, is crazy on the face of it. Expect to see some variation in behaviors and don't imagine for a minute that just because you're in a ranked mode that things will get much better. Maybe a little, but maybe not.
