@EA_David@EA_DavidI greatly appreciate it when devs listen to their players, especially the one's on the forums as they are willing to go through extra trouble to provide feedback and want to share their idea's on how the game should be improved, that said here's my take on the new season 4:
+map looks like something interesting, even more sniper lanes
+more good looking skins and content
+love the new area next to epicentre
-----no balance changes at all to the legends, i was super stoked to see some real big balance changes this season, finally ending the pathfinder/wraith/wattson meta
-massive nerf to snipers moving them in a category that fields less ammo
-barely any energy weapons left over
-the core most powerful weapons still aren’t nerfed at all Wingman/R99
-no changes to the completely barren area’s on the map, dome and the rest of the lava area or the territory above overlook
Now that I’ve stated my pro’s and * I’d like to go into depth this is because I have the feeling there’s a lot the devs are holding back from us. Miners have already discovered a bloodhound event, and I suspect these above mentioned untouched area’s will be reworked with legend events like they did with the mirage event. And with the leaked flaming ammunition hop-up not being in the game, I suspect the snipers getting a major buff along with a special hop-up in order to make them more fun and interesting instead of simply being bad weapons that are only used for 3rd party bulling.
However I have a similar feeling with the legend balance, it cant be that the devs don’t nerf wraith after they’ve announced that she’s on their radar and they’re looking into methods to nerf her or that they don’t buff mirage even though they’ve clearly hinted at buffing him and on the devs saying they’d fix the fire created by weapon discharge.
That said, I’ve also been thinking on how to change the game in order to make those legends more on an equal footing, here’s my idea’s:
-Remove low profile from the game, it’s a strange passive that does barely anything at all, don’t worry I’ve found another use for it.
-Buff fortified to 25% damage resist, big boys are at a massive disadvantage in firefights. They could use a little buff, I realise this will make Gibraltar more powerful, but I’m going to turn a blind eye to that for now, as I think he is a welcome change to the meta.
-Make caustic gas: not slow allies, deal 10dmg/tick, cause aim punch. Make his traps faster on both the throw animation and the build-up animation in order to enable more aggressive fun playstyles with the legend and make his gas more potent, as it is a very minor AOE and does very little to players.
-Make Crypto’s drone in stationary mode when the player is not piloting it invisible and completely silent as it currently is very poor in this regard and needs to be moved around constantly in order to prevent it from being shot down, which inspires an annoying playstyle where players are AFK microing their drone instead of contributing to the team or playing the game and having fun. Making his EMP not damage and slow himself is also very nice, as its just a really frustrating mechanic.
-Rework mirage by punishing players for shooting his illusion or changing them so they have more bamboozle potential, also giving him a real passive would be very welcome. Reworking his ultimate like in dummies big day would be an excellent change.
-Disable Watson’s ultimate from destroying ability grenades, and only destroy airstrikes and item grenades, also remove the shield regeneration ability of the pylon.
-Reduce the ranges on pathfinders abilities by 50%, as he’s just so damn good in all scenario’s along with an excellent hitbox.
-Only give wraith low profile but increase the damage taken by 25%, as she’s extremely powerful and obnoxious especially when she is one of the very few legends with an extremely powerful escape ability and team repositioning ultimate.
I cant really give good advice on the other legends as I’ve not played them enough to make a healthy judgement.
As for weapons:
-Make the R99 deal half damage beyond 30m.
-Make the wingman deal 35 damage per shot.
But there’s one more important thing I wanted to say before I end my post, I simply loved the match making system of the Duo’s update, I was so sad they removed it when the grand soiree event launched, now I get teamed with sub-level 100 players even though I’m at level 300 and the enemy squads are either terrible or filled with a 3 stack of tryhards who have +10k kills each and run around slaughtering everything in their path.

Are you joking? Gibi is OP in close combat as it is. If he has purple armor you have to do over 275 damage to him, that's often at a minimum 2 clips for Gibi. Mean while if you're a low profile character such as Wraith or Wattson you'll take more damage. Meaning fewer shots have to hit you. This is a horrible idea, especially for Gibi. The people in my lobbies, do not miss many shots against the low profile characters. So it really boils down to which legend fires first or/and can take the most damage.
You don't balance a game or legends by buffing others to be so OP that other legends don't stand a chance. You balance legends by making their weaknesses equal out with their strengths. Prime example, if a low-profile legend takes 5% more damage, then they should be 5% harder to hit. If a legend has a 25% damage reduction buff, then they should take 25% more bullets.
