Don't force pub players out of SBMM, default them to be included, and then give them the option to be excluded from it.
Respawn has every right to maintain a happier playerbase, but to give them the freedom to go around the matchmaking safeguards. That puts control in the player's individual hands, not the whims and preferences of 1 player.
SBMM isn't flawless; no SBMM-like mechanic is. But it's better than putting gamers on the honor system where I'd have to deal with someone 10x my skill level and basically being forced to lose the game due to such a wild difference in skill.

I guess I have built up an impulsive anger on the SBMM topic. I’m genuinely shocked people want LESS options for the community and every time we pose a legitimate, logical argument against SBMM, the common response is “you just want to crush noobs.” The whole thing is disenchanting.
