This whole post just reads as a humble brag. You have a 2.5kd, which means you're obviously getting kills... are you upset you don't get to pub stomp every game?
And no, your KD doesn't make you a predator, ranked is often a completely different game and if you want that title you have to put in the time for for it
I'm not trying to brag, im just frustrated with the current sbmm. I didn't know 2.5 is considered high?
As I said, I don't want new player lobbies, I just want lobbies with players that match me, nothing more.
The thing about getting the dive trail was just a joke.
And yes, I know that ranked is not all about KD or sick movement.
You belong in those lobbies, I have a 1-1.2 KD. I can often hold my own against the preds and masters and with your 2.5 you can certainly hold yours too
I see your point, but if you get the same lobbies, don't you find that a little annoying always having to try your best...in pubs? It's called public for a reason, everyone can join regardless of their ranking or skill level.
My point is:
Ranked - hard Sbmm
Public - no Sbmm or genuine Sbmm that makes your teammates and enemies as skilled as the person playing?
And I know that most of the players are .8 to 1.2 kd so you would match with them very often, but it's not like one pred is going to destroy everyone.

- @hbuttersmgee This "pub stomping" term doesn't make any sense. If a player is better than 90% of the player base, why is that considered a negative thing? Why do you think less skilled players need to be protected from more skilled players? That eliminates true competition. Your whole response reads as cope.
Outside of ranked, matches should either be completely randomly filled, or closely resemble the actual population of Apex.@Twizted3k_tv why DO YOU think facing similar skilled opponents is a negative thing? Do you think anyone would watch or play sports if it was the world's best vs C tier local social clubs? Where's the competition in that? Sounds boring to me 🥱

- @hbuttersmgee I see what you mean, but when it comes to pubs we aren't playing in a competition. There's really no incentive to the player for having to constantly feel like it is one.
I think what he means is that similar skill becomes a problem when you improve and get moved up constantly to more difficult lobbies so to keep that idea of similar skill opponents constant throughout the game. It defeats the purpose of improvement if you can't feel or experience it because lobbies level up as you do. I can totally see why players who put in effort and got better would get frustrated by that and I can see why below average players would want this system to stay. I don't think he's wrong though - if you are say top 20% it should at least feel like it in some way.
You are right, pub stomping is boring, but constant sweat mode in just a random lobby can actually feel worse if it doesn't let up regularly enough. There should be relief from that more often and a middle ground would be nice too.
One thing that I don't like is how 1kd is considered average and just getting 1 more kill per match, just 1, is considered very good. Like why should it be considered normal to only be able to kill a single opponent per match? It's a testament to how sweaty the game really is and I don't see a good reason why it should be that way. It seems overly excessive to me.
