Scammed out of heirloom shards

I am one of the many players that has been affected by the recent addition of heirloom shards and heirlooms earned before the release of heirloom shards, in the patch notes it directly states "Instead of an entire heirloom set dropping at once you will now receive heirloom shards. You can then use those heirloom shards to pick the exact heirloom you like" Why shouldn't I be qualified to have that same right to choose the heirloom that I like rather than one that I dont? Please EA fix this and allow me and me others to get the heirloom we rightfully deserve

I get your point, and i do agree. However by no means was it a scam lol, when you tried for an heirloom you was fully aware of the system in place.
The addition of shards was an acknowledgement of the fact that its a lot of money to spend to potentially get an heirloom for a legend you don't use, quite a fair compromise on respawns part really.
As nice as it would be for us to be able to trade in our already earned heirlooms for shards i doubt it's going to happen if i'm perfectly honest with you. :S

You werent scammed, you knew how the system worked before you started!

Yea man they scammed me too, I bought an event pack and got an item I didn't want 😮
Dang it Respawn, gimme my Legendary item you promised me!

Yes I knew that! But you completely disregard that how I got that doesnt exist anymore! Something that can be fixed and made fair so easily should be!

I didnt mean scammed in that manner and I take full blame for that, I was fully aware of the system at place but since that system doesnt exist anymore and other players that havent received an heirloom are receiving benefits that I no longer am I able to until I spend another 18 days of logged playtime and most likely more

I dont know what this has to do with the discussion but, you are guaranteed a random item from the event, my case is different

@EnsomWolf I'm just making jokes, since we both didn't really get scammed, we knew the system and chose to continue to do what we did, which was spend money to gamble our luck.

If you read above I just felt like I was scammed, (not actually) I feel like EA pulled one of those we understand that you all wanted this but we aren't gonna allow players to turn in heirlooms so they have to either spend money or play are game alot type of ordeal, and side note I have never spent money on apex packs

@EnsomWolf I think the problem is that if they removed all of players existing heirlooms and gave them 3 shards per heirloom, they could they potentially see a massive drop in upcoming sales, as many players who own heirlooms are the type to spend.
If they can simply just get the new heirloom with their accumulated shards they ain't spending money on the game. For example i would receive 12 shards, which means i wouldn't need to spend on the next 4 heirlooms released.
Now this isn't an issue for us the players, however respawn is a business and obviously a business need to make money and by doing this they would only be hurting themselves financially.

Yes but a company that has 4.875 billion dollars should value the player over a money grabbing type thing, I never spent any money on apex packs and dont plan on in the future, this is the exact reason EA receives so much hate, they seem to just want money
