I just did something so tilting I just had to post to vent. I set out this afternoon to score a 69 on Scout of Action for my banners. My typical score was around 60. Well, I spent about an hour im...
@pandareno1999 The ball's in your side of the court again!
I tried hip firing, good golly it was not a good time. Like you said, complete RNG for the two back rows. Even the one closer than that wouldn't always work for me. I tried a hip fire only run through, and my three targets were the three furthest, so that run died horribly.
Also, I think you mentioned that you use a controller? If so, I'll swap over. I think if we're going to make this a thing, it's only fair that we use the same input method. 🙂
I can't believe it, but I get to report that I have got you beat again! I was in a groove, but I wasn't expecting to get to 80.
I gave up on the hip fire, that was just for fun. But since the G7 is on the ground again, I've been working at Scout of Action with iron sights. G7 irons are HARD so I figure the time and effort actually pay off in game. So far I can get like, in the high 60's for my best.
I wonder whether we are approaching an event horizon here. But who knows? I never expected to get to 80 when I embarked on this. I talked with a guy on reddit who has been trying to break 90 for some time now.
Have you found that the time it takes you to get into a groove has decreased? I can usually break 70 by my second round now, if not first try.
I'm the exact same! My first run is usually garbage, but then I hit mid70s by the second try. I think this might genuinely be making me better at aiming.
Hold off on hitting 90 just yet, I gotta break that 80 barrier first. 😉 I'm sure we'll be able to keep this going for another little bit.
I am absolutely certain that this work is paying off in terms of target acquisition - or perhaps what I mean is, what is called by the aim training crowd "target switching." I don't know what aiming with a mouse feels like, but on controller I can feel a definite difference in how precise my right thumb movements feel after 5-10 minutes.
Maybe some day we will be given a tool for working on tracking in the range?? A girl can dream! (I'm male but I love that saying!)
@pandareno1999@EA_QueenBee Hol' up, lemme get in on this! I think my highest is in the low 60's, from the couple times I messed around with it. I'll give it a few serious tries after work today, to see if I can perhaps join the 80+ club, as well!
@dSKyNafinchin If I can do it, you can, bud! That's exactly where i started when I set out to get the 69 for my banner. Focus on getting a 70 first (or a 69 if you're a dork like me and want to flex that on a banner for a while).
Oh gosh, even more competition. Like @pandareno1999 said, if we can do it, you can too. Just remember everyone, the first rule of fight club is to have fun and be yourself.
Sounds like you three are having a lot of fun here.
I might just have to give it a go this Friday before I get online with my teammates. Let’s see what I can do, from what I see the bar has ben set by @pandareno1999 let’s see who can get 81 or above.
Sure! I'm not sure that this will be of much use to anyone but me, but here ya go. Pretty middle of the road here. The only unusual ones are the max extra yaw and the 1% dead zone. The extra yaw gives me more movement capabilites while still having usable hip fire. I dialed my ADS settings quite a bit in the process of grinding this exercise. They used to be higher overall. My Per Optics are 1.0 for 1X and 1.4 for everything else.
@Lord_Scorpion34 I wrote a long response but it seems like it would be a big digression to get into the specifics of ALC here, so I've cut that and copied it in a PM for you.
