Season 6 crypto nerf

Don’t you think the crypto emp nerf was a bit to much ?
you see him barely played sadly and when I play him it feels pretty much underwhelming to play him

i understand the main reason why it got nerfed was cuz of rev/wraith/crypto combo

but Nerfing the probably weakest of thoose 3 while you massively buff bloodhound Leaves him in a bad spot

The mainreason to take a crypto over bh was the emp... bh simply gathers info better and safer

but now since the emp can barely be used to push, I don’t see a valid use for it besides breaking defenses of Watson and gasboy.

and now when the armor changes got reverted it weakened the emp a little more...

i mean currently when I get emped I just instantly popp a battery while the animation is going and my shield is full again right after the emp exploaded

funStuff like selfemping does not work at all anymore The drawback is just to big now

Possible solutions could be:

revert the nerf

give a cooldown on using a battery for the slowduration

(actually my favorite would also make sense since the batteries are electronical, would also allow your team to actually get into the fight while the shield is still lowered)

double the slow on enemy’s

make the drone better, let it scan through walls etc to make up for the weaker emp
Nerfing the drones hitbox was also horrible, and the 30 more hp does not make up for her much bigger hitbox

it should sit at atleast like 200 hp so you have actually use of it while you actively play crypto and not the moment you stop the drone it gets 2tabbed ( it could have some kind of Standby mode where it has thoose 200 hp and while it’s controlled it has the 60)

The cooldown when destroyed is also way to high it should have a pretty low cooldown when destroyed since you actively give away control of your legend while using it...this thing is Basicly all the legend has... it’s passive/tactical/ult on a huge cooldown on just 60 hp...
I would argue that is by far the biggest drawback any tactical has and yet it still has so many huge weaknesses...

I'm fine with the changes to the drone itself, but I think a decent buff would be to disable the ability to recharge shields after being EMPed for 2-3 seconds. Like you said, you can just pop a battery and have full shields again before the opponent even reaches your location. I would also say that Crypto should only lose one shield charge when he gets hit by his own EMP, or he shouldn't be slowed. Not both, just one or the other.

@Pha1n0 How come? His scan’s only advantage over bloodhound is that he can leave his drone there to continuously scan one spot, unless they shoot it.

The emp is kinda strong, but it is an ult, and ults are meant to be pretty strong.

@Sir_Named- It seems like the second you destroy his drone - it's right back up - and the thing - takes so many hits - so hard to hit, and the EMP seems to be always going..
He also can pick up squadmates (banners) - ding the "area" antenna (instantly) -
I get he's in a drone view and can't do anything - but I just feel he's way OP...
Just my opinion.

@Pha1n0 It does sometimes take a lot of hits, but I think the other two is just you. The drone has a 40 second cd if destroyed, so either you aren’t following up or you didn’t break it. The ult could be because they used ult accelerants, or you drew out the fight too long, or something else. But in typical ult fashion, it takes a while to charge.

He can revive teammates in drone form, but he did kinda need some buff since he was a bit underpowered before.

Yeah. It probably is me. Just hate going against a good crypto - but I could say that for every legend 🙂

@Pha1n0 They fixed the issue with his drone taking loads of hits to break. Before we wasn't actually hitting it...we was basically just receiving false positives at our end giving the impression we were hitting it.
I like the idea of a temporary shield disable...or at the very least it should interrupt any cells/batteries being used in its AoE until it fully activates.

@MandatoryIDtagYea I would welcome that change a lot it would actually make pushes as crypto viable without a wraith, currently you really need a wraith in team to make a decent push with crypto work... she has to place tp close to the enemys, come back use the emp and then all into the portal and even then it’s unreliable cuz like I said if they react properly they will just start using a battery when the animation of the emp starts.
Also I don’t think it’s so smart that crypto takes dmg and Slow to his own emp, I mean let’s be real he is a supersmart hackerboy but he is unable to build up some kind of emp protection ? That doesn’t make much sense to me at all

Anyways I think he needs some kind of Love In some way... I think the battery cooldown would be the most balanced one tbh

just makes it a bit more difficult to push again

@mikogibo Just because a "Zombie" team (Wraith, Revenant and Crypto) were synergising too well together.... it's like it created the meta that they didn't want so they just crapped all over it. Then tried to buff him like it would make up for it. It's not like he's OP.
