@RockDokRockI agree with everyone who said, in essence, not every match will be what we think of as "fair and balanced."
That said, you absolutely nailed it with:
"Why penalise me for a totally mis matched game where we just get crushed. How am I the bad guy who should get punished? What is my incentive to stick around to just be free kills to miles better players than me? Sell it to me."
The idea that devs can author a game with a skill gap so wide that anything less than perfect matchmaking will result in "11 to 33" and that we will all just go along for the ride and be grateful for the opportunity... is ridiculous. I was saying the exact same thing 20 years ago with Halo. Nothing has changed since. Change the title, change the developer, change the decade, it's all the same crap happening over and over again. This is why I've grown to hate first person team-based multiplayer shooters. I keep putting up with them because I like "shooter" while hating "team-based" and "multiplayer" in equal measure. Yet here I still am. Here still are we all. I wish the news was better, but so far not.
