I think Nightfall is a fun unique mode that brings a welcome change to the game. My only gripe is that I think the Shadows are a little overpowered.
@DrenMadrealso pathfinder. I don't think it is easy to win as a legend at all though. It's hard to really group up and fight your way to the evac together. I only saw a group larger than 4 one time.
I am experiencing an insane amount of hackers on the EU Frankfurt server people who are so desperate to win the event are hacking their * off
@jayhartRIC One doesn't know how things are this weekend with Shadowfall. Went with the option to grind it out on the weekday to avoid potential mayhem for upcoming days. But at one time me and 8 others made it on the evac ship. The last legend almost did, but was cut short.
I just managed to get my first win as a legend, which was a relief after failing at it for quite a few rounds. I was down to a quarter of my health after barely making it out of an encounter with another legend during the first seconds of the match, and then never healed or picked up a single thing until finally ziplining to safety.
Was it satisfying? Yes and no. Don't think I'll be playing the mode much anymore now. It's quite atmospheric, but also more repetitive and frustrating for me.
I like the game mode, but I would like to be able to communicate with the survivors if I am one of them. The major issue that I have with the event is the loot boxes. They're priced way to high and honestly, I don't want them for events like this. I just want to be able to be the skins I want, at a reasonable price, without having to jump through hoops.
- @EA_David My only really big complaint so far, is that all of caustics traps go off when you make it to the top 10. It's caused me to die numerous times, make it to the top 10 be running through buildings towards the drop ship and a caustic trap ruins the party by slowing you down. If you're playing as caustic it's not a huge deal. But for every other player if you run into those traps you're dead.
I got the 26 evacs done in a few days. Once I figured out how to make it on the ship it was fairly easy. I can win a single game as legend can you do something about it
Like the new game mode a lot. It is really fun when people play it as intended.
But I have seen games where people group up before final 10 and it really breaks the game mode.
Imagine 6 people not shooting each other just shooting down 6 shadows.
The shadow team never grows.
Have seen it in about 3-4 games now.
It's pretty lame.
