Should I (or players like me) quit online multiplayer games?

I’m not entirely sure how I should approach this hobby anymore.

I’m a fairly skilled player (I make Masters each split) but I still lose the vast majority of my games. My pubs literally consist of over 80% Masters/Preds and there is no reduction in this despite losing 300-400 games in a row. I’m currently sitting at a 1.1% winning ratio— this means I’m literally almost losing 99% of my games because I am exclusively playing preds in pubs.

Even after losing over 300 consecutive games, my lobbies are still over 50% Master/Pred. This almost doesn’t even make sense from a numbers standpoint, as the that type of player only comprises about 4% of the player base.

And my performances have dropped even lower since the no fill option, as most of my matches in Duos and Trios aren’t even giving me teammates anymore.

I understand that gaming publishers have to cater to the largest player group (casual players) to maximize their profits, but why does my overall gaming experience matter less than someone else’s BECAUSE I am in a higher skill group?

What would EA/Respawn’s response be to players in my position? Would they recommend I quit altogether?

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Not true at all. I can place myself into quite easy lobbies. The game will not cater to a level 1 grouping with a level 500 master. How is it fair for the rest of the level 1 to play against a master? That level 1 deserves to be placed into your lobbies. You have reached a peak of skill level that is going to properly place you as best as it can into the lobbies you deserve to be placed in.

So the system cant implement a change to make lower end lobbies unenjoyable for a lot new players. By sounds of it you want to be in bot lobbies because your friend is low level allowing you to bully lobbies. Level 1-10 determines your placement. If you dropping 20 bomb and 4k at level 2-5 best believe the game see's this. It then places them where they belong with the sweats. All depends on how good that player is.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 I go through same exact thing though. My friends who are not level 500 who are not good at the game is going against players with 15 to 100k kills on their legend. That is the risk my friends take when joining me. Because placing me into their lobbies would be over kill and the lobby would not last.

So then you and I are having entirely different experiences. I actually created two new accounts and had my friends sign into them. We then queued for trios.

The lobby was 80% pred/masters. I LITERALLY did this like 3 weeks ago.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Yea I can't explain how that happen. It did not for me on my smurfs. I was in bot lobbies till around level 10. Well lobbies i consider bots. So i'd say it can possibly be regional thing with lower populations in que. on NA servers i have much different outcome then what you have had.
  • @E9ine_AC But it’s not a one time occurrence. This is the way it’s been since S4. This is why so many people complain about not being able to queue with friends. This is EXACTLY why my real life friends don’t play with me anymore.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Thanks. That confirms what I thought about the team sbmm. That is going to the player with the best elo. So someone who is new should never even bother playing with a friend who is good. That is ridiculous to think about. Surely there is a way to balance the lobby a little.

@Axs5626Sxa5001 Yea I have never had that experience other then friends joining on me on my main account. Which i dont smurf anymore as i came to understand i destroyed peoples play experiences. Like i said if a player stomps lobbies it is going place users where they belong.

Example. You kill lets say 6 people each game and die. This will raise a k/d to around at times like my gibby smurf a k/d of 13.4 so it began to place me with sweats for this reason. So new players getting to say even 1.5 k/d its going to look at that and say hmm time to boot them up to bigger lobbies.

@hayhor There is a way to manipulate it but im sure it would fall in line of abusing or exploiting a game mechanic. But at times it tends to look at who is party leader in terms of lobbies.
  • @hayhor But the effect is not exclusive to “experience”. Even if you are an experienced player but not as skilled as the person you are joining, the lobby will be curated based on the higher ELO.

    It absolutely 100% is egregious.
