Skill based match making

Dear Respawn. I have been loyal to you ever since you released apex and I refuse to get off apex to play warzone even though all my friends play it. I just need to tell you that skill based match making is ruining your game. I consider myself an above average gamer and when I am in ranked I am super good. But in pubs I feel like I am a bot. Like I have no gaming knowledge whatsoever. Please take out sbmm. Why have sbmm if you already have a ranked mode? Because right now it is as if you have two ranked modes and the one that is supposed to be easier is much much harder.

Please change this

@Axs5626Sxa5001In the context of your post it wasn't a political discussion and for some reason I doubt it was the latter.

You could always do a simplified version with less grey areas but ultimately it will be time and effort wasted as they won't change anything.

Edit: You shouldn't get banned if you haven't broken any forum rules without a warning or an explanation first.

In pub games I play against preds and masters, but I'm a silver player. So I'm having a difficult time enjoying my favorite game.

Why can't respawn just tell us how the matchmaking actually works in Apex? What's the big secret? For me as a bang average player it's no fun getting matched against Master/Predator players on more than regular basis!
If I look at my stats on one of those stat tracker sites I'm sitting in the top 5% or lower for certain legends(Only due to playtime I might add) could that be affecting my MM I wonder?

@Rye-Sco Because if we know how it works, players can and will abuse it. Even purposely loosing multiple straight games now will eventually put you in a bot lobby where you can farm for badges.

@Cheese9Man That's fair enough. Probably makes a bit more sense as to why there are so many smurf accounts. You hit a certain lvl and it's pretty much tough lobbies for yah from then on..

@Rye-ScoI'm with you, but understand that crappy people will want to exploit it if they know the details.
As a below average player, it's obvious from how my matches go that Apex SBMM is seriously flawed. I have a good/fun match (>1k damage, 4 or so kills for me is "good") about 1 every 15 pub matches. All the others I get melted almost immediately the first gunfight I get into.
Level does NOT equate to skill and I'm a perfect example. I'm about level 300 but consider myself a trash can. I've just played a lot and seriously struggle with "getting gud".
I used to get really ticked but now I just play for that 1 in 15 match and quit to lobby on all the others. I really don't want to spend my time sitting and watching my random teammates run off or get melted like I did in those cases.
