Smurfing is a Reportable Offense, So Why Are Streamers Allowed to do it?

I support your concerns 100%, but i think you answered the question yourself.

There are even players that sell smurf accounts only, for over 1000 euros each.
They post screenshots of their accounts and legends, with their names clearly visible.

But do they get banned?

Streamers help Respawn and EA to get great exposure and new players joining the game.

Why would they ban streamers with hundreds of thousands or millions of subscribers?

It wouldn't make any sense from their point of view.

Now, what they SHOULD DO, is to just STFU about working hard to ban smurfs bla bla bla, because they are clearly and simply NOT.

Well if youre able to climb through gold mid split youre good for diamond, we were stupid enough to take a 2 week break from ranked during xmas and daaaamn its insane now, working our * off to climb. Ths smurfing situation the last few days been insane, I reported SOOOOO many, sub 30s who use all movement techs, and plays very tachtical and smart same as you see preds pull, and ofc the customary 4K badgel. Today I think half my lobby was smurfs atleast, to top that off most of their team mates got diamon and pred badges but bronze-gold rank this season. One game I got jumped and the aim was quite suspicious so I was wondering if it was a cheater or smurf so I inspected, saw movement was master level so I was just hmm, report smurf, then he was killed to an even lower level then him with even more insane movement and aim, I got to report him too, and before I was done he was kille by another low level that was just as good. That is the reality now in silver up and Respawn/EA need to start actively doing something with this.

Its not content having a 20 bomb if people see its a smurf account... the only content worth watching is the people who play their own rank showing the proper play you get there as that is insane to watch at, its like less then 1% of the playerbase who get to see a master level fight and that is stuff thats worth watching... To watch someone mowing through a bot lobby got old in 2019...

Something has to be done soon, you can already see the queue times for ranked is starting to go up real fast that means people stop playing, its actually ruining the game at the moment.

Ok let me correct you here... SOME streamers help Respawn and EA to get great exposure. When I see smurf content I get pissed and give big tumbs down to EA and Respawn for not decapitating him for messing up the game for people who might be willing to pay for something in the game. The proper streamers using their proper mains when streaming like for instance @TTV_ShulkN give proper and positive exposure. Streamers who smurf actually chase people away from the game, and yes that is the proper paying customers. 

Unfortunately I think the smurfing situation will only get worse as the game generally gets harder since the players get better as well. 

The requirement of a phone number to make an account is not 100% smurf proof but it will lessen the number of smurfs for sure. It’s so easy to make another account in consoles. 

Smurfing has excellent business side effect - Respawn can show their stakeholders that the game is growing in account number.

Just don't play ranked.  I quit for this reason.  It was ridiculous.

@TheGhostOfKievfunny how smurfing is a reportable offense but at the same time your rank gets reset to Bronze 4 regardless of your rank
