I do know that the aim assist does not snap, but it does lock on in a way that eases your tracking as it follows the enemy "slightly" as you would say.
Now since aim assist is such a nice feature on controller users, should we allow macros to be used on fighting games on PC since it's so much harder to play them on M&K?
I kill console users, controller users daily too. I have to play on full preda lobbies since my kd is 8+ and it throws premade pred squads against me. They don't infuriate me, what infuriates me are the controller users since most of them walk like bot, shoots like bot, but yet they somehow hit.
Also aim assist being useless in long to mid range?
Long range maybe, but there are never fights in long range since snipers are practically useless and 3rd party invites (since I'm the one engaging enemies and not sitting and waiting for 3rd partying to snipe them from behind).
Med range is arguable, but it still sticks to them.
That's why I have started to like playing valkyrie, since these potato controller players can not simply aim upwards, if you break out of their AA range they are helpless.
I would assume that with an 8+kd that you would be winning nearly every fight you get in so why complain? It clearly doesn’t seem to affect you that much. I would love to be that good.
just to make it clear I am not being rude but just very surprised.
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@Mr_Mi5ch13f_2 I have actually become adapted to it. At first i will admit i was highly against aim assist but now i just accept it as reality and it will not change. So for that I no longer let it bother me.
- 5 years ago@Mr_Mi5ch13f_2 Because it feels like shortcut, annoyance when 10y ago it was scuffed at and now its okay thing.
To me it feels like an interview that you nailed and are qualified for a work but got declined because they hire unqualified cousin to do the job - 5 years ago
This aim assist bs is so tiresome to listen to. No 70% of pro players have not switched to controller on pc. In fact the majority of all the best pros play with M&K and the most talented streamers all use M&K. I played this game for more than 2 years with a controller, played every game ever with a controller and just switched to M&K a couple of months ago. I am already competing in the highest lobbies and achieved the same badges I did in 2 years of practice on controller. Sure there is aim assist but it is a far cry from aim-bot and controller comes with so many disadvantages. And I even used an elite which is the best controller ever made with all paddles being used. Even in short range you can be at a large disadvantage sometimes on controller. Because the crosshairs slow onto a target when at close range for example you cannot snap off a shotgun shot and quickly rush behind cover nearly as effectively. On controller you will many times get stuck taking damage when you otherwise would not have.
- 5 years ago@SHIZNICKMASTA that you play some t5 tournaments doesn't mean you are playing against the best pal

@DoYaSeeMe 'Basically you would not be able to move your crosshair when entering within a target's radius.'
idk man .. so free movement with analog.. then locking aim, got it. Won't call it aimbot, oh right .. it's called aim assist....
If only I had the same thing on PC without jumping through 50 hoops, making 20 accounts, hw spoof, and chasing Boxes instead of playing Apex- just to have fabricated skill. 😃
😪 ok I'll agree it's not the same as aimbot, and not even nearly as bad.. and a lesser form of it could be necessary for console players. I see where the thinking comes in, but the problem lies in the cheaters that are pretending to be console players. could there have been detections setup for these things? It's like we just threw everything into FPS games that ... weren't there to begin with and functioned without.
@SHIZNICKMASTA ofc they do, cause there's no reason to switch to controller with their program setup on pc. unless it's getting kinda sussy ! right?
I understand many players prefer a controller, and I don't mind that. Back in my Halo / CoD days, I was pretty terrible with a controller. But it's a nice experience in an fps, well before aim assist. Some of my friends were console players, and they would get headshots left and right with controllers.. with recoil in halo and cod! I understand CoD / Apex have faster movement now, but surely the player can track the other player's movement w/ experience, same logic with m+k
And you seem to agree it could be tweaked, or set to a certain number; so it can't be adjusted? Maybe even one that could help a bit in mid-long range fights for console players, but will be balanced in short ranged.
Would that be fair? Or would players still want to tweak their aim assist? Still want any advantage?
