@RoyalGuardianGYou probably would not have received one, unless you were at 500 packs. The packs are completely random and RNG based. You have a .2% chance of getting one from the apex packs.
When you open a pack, the RNG randomly selects 3 items from what you have not unlocked or crafting metals. I would imagine the odds of crafting metals increases as you unlock more content.
Since they are guaranteed every 500 packs. They probably count the packs and on the 500th give you a random heirloom then reset the counter.
The other option would be to simply increase the odds Of receiving one by .2% for every pack you open until you get one. Then reset the odds, but this would be a bit more complex to do as you would have to adjust the RNG every pack that’s opened and one is not received. I doubt they do this, because people would be receiving heirlooms at a much higher rate. Once you reach about 33%! You’d probably get one every 3 packs and most people would receive one by 200-250 packs.
basically the moment you press open, it randomly picks the content. So if you had pressed open at any other time, even just a fraction of a millisecond difference you would not have received one.
@DarthValtrex See that's the only thing i don't get about loot ticks they claim they only track up to a weeks worth of opened packs....or so people have quoted they've been informed when inquiring into this previously.
So if theres a 1/500 threshold for loot ticks to drop said heirlooms something must be tracking it?
Doesn't affect me either way being the whale that i am but it would be good to get some final clarification on this for those who do need their heirlooms still right?
Idk,all seems a bit weird haha.
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@MandatoryIDtag I would imagine their systems only allow them to see the content from a weeks worth of apex packs. But they should be able to track the total purchased?!
It might also be their system only allows them to see a weeks worth of purchases but the data is still stored.
I know with my POS system my employees only have access to limited information about 2-3 months worth. But I have access to about 3 years worth of data. There are reasons I limit the data they can access.- 6 years ago
Can someone clarify for me... when and does this "pick your heirloom" thing come into effect???
I'm currently holding back on opening packs because of it.
