If I remember correctly... auto sprint works by pressing thumbstick and you can release your controller and your character will run forever. Here auto run means you just don’t have to click but hav...

@Zeelmaekers Nothing against you but screw that. They... and I have to say this right... had me hopeful for a second by saying auto sprint is in the game and we all know what auto sprint means on consoles. Then I tried it in a house near hydro dam but my character would just stand around. Tried it for like a minute and then went to settings and was shocked to find something along the lines saying:
Auto sprint on: when moving forward on thumbstick you now automatically sprint
Auto sprint off: you have to press the left analog stick and push forward to run.
So the only thing they did is decide to remove the pressing down. Granted, that was the annoying part, but they knew damn well what console players were talking about and yet they did the bear minimum and even deceived their players with the naming of this feature!
In the patch notes they usually have a whimsical message for new features yet this time it also said ‘auto sprint’ instead of ‘no more pressing down’ or something with the description afterwards...
@MandatoryIDtag it’s just as wingmannedbro stated. Except for crouching I believe. If you crouch and full on tilt the analog stick you still crouch

What do you mean what "we" meant with auto sprint?
Cause that was mostly me being vocal about that and I got exactly what I wanted. Works great this way.
What did you think auto sprint would mean, other than automatically sprinting without needing to toggle it on with a button press?
I think this is a case of you being confused, and really not something the devs did.

I think other ppl, if I’m going by this thread, thought the fortnitely way as well and seeing that in the new ‘we’ll work on it’ auto sprint is the actual you’ll sprint without imput, more ppl meant that

- @Wingmannedbro Nahhh nahhh! Screw that workaround xD. I once ran into a squad (very early in the game) that way XD. Was half paying attention and suddenly saw a random character...
