Obviously (maybe) they'll bring him into the game at some point (since they worked on it and already had skills set for him, why waste it?), the question now is, how will they bring him back? Person...

@iBlockHead Did they have a skill set for him? All I remember from the dev stream reveal that he was an "up close and personal" legend, but they didn't show any actual abilities for Forge (which at the time I thought was weird). Based on that its likely he won't make a return (in S5 at least) if he was only at the concept stage without any finalizing details. They probably made some concept art for him, scrapped the idea, but didn't want to completely waste the resources they put into him, and thus the early April fools stunt was made.
@Extremejinks yup, his passives and abilities etc chained together, he was basically a street fighter character with guns
@Extremejinks Yea I think so, I saw someone post something from the data files or whatever and it listed a couple abilities he had.
Maybe it was also just in there to bamboozle us... darn it Respawn, how come you can trick us so well but Mirage is garbanzo beans 😠
