Still finding too difficult S2

Hey there, i am not use to complaints but i just wanna point out something.

As i said few weeks ago while getting into the new season, i still find too difficult to level up the BP.

Has been said that the system to level up S2 battle pass was easier than S1 but i actually think that this system is made for who can spend a large amount of time in the game.

In S1 i was able to level up just earning XP while now i need to complete challenges that, most of the times, are really hard to achieve; yes, i can still level up the BP earning stars (XP's) but that way now is upwards due to the high amount of XP you need to level up just only obe level (45000 or 54000 don't remember).

This is my experience as a Apex player so, might be different from yours: after a month of BP i am still level 31 and not sure if i'm able to reach the end. During S1 i had a month off and still manage to complete it a couple of weeks in advance.

  • I do not think, that they are gonna do something about it. Andy you know why?

Because now, you can buy level by level with Apex Coins if you want.

So, why should they make it easier to level for the players and simultaneously sacftrifice on money? They don't.

Instead, they have the solution implemented in the game.

If you want to level faster, buy some levels. And yes, this is sad.

By my side it's not quiet right. Even during S1 you could've purchase BP levels so, nothing really new.

What's changed is how you level up your BP; of course nothing will change at this stage but hopefully they will get this as a feedback for S3!

I've not played this week but I'm at 28 BP I think.

Bare in mind, the higher the level, the more XP boost you get. I've levelled up pretty quick, and think I'll get the BP2 done before it finishes. The BP is also missing the progress bar, which doesn't help in terms of seeing your progress.

I should be back on more over the weekend and next week if you want to party up? I'm gold 4 in ranked and really struggling with randoms lol.

  • Hard working adult right here

I for one only have a few hours at most every day and usually only 1 full day on the weekends to play apex, if at all.

I work 8-9 hours Mon-Fri and I've reached lvl 51 by just doing the challenges and playing with friends for those precious hours. (Missed some/ignored some challenges)

Imo Season 2 is much easier to level up in than Season 1.

    And correct me if I'm wrong, but me and a buddy of mine did the math;

Complete every weekly and daily in a given week and level up a minimun of 11 ranks, then add the regular gameplay XP and that's atleast 14-15 levels each week.

And to fully complete the Battle Pass you need to level up 9 levels per week to earn lvl 110 by the end of the season.

And can't speak for everyone here but and for everyones private situation, but For me, Season 2 is also way more fun.

Well said @randplayer2, not possible to speak for everyone as we all have different situations.

If i had a chance to go back home every day then wouldn't have such a problem but some of us, like myself, work on a rotation and i am usually away for more then half of a week (at least 4 days).

I do not agree with the level cap: in a week we are able to do about 14-15 levels completing the challenges; again, some of us, being away, loose most of the daily challenges which make a big part on the way to the 110. Difference: during the first season i was able to do about 25-30 levels roughly during my free days.

Of course this is MY OWN PROBLEM but S1 was way more friendly, or at least everyone was at the same level and had the same chances to complete the pass.

I see your point, but I personally don't like that they made it so leveling is dependent on challenges. I think what mostly everyone wanted in season 1 was for the addition of challenges but still being able to level up from regular gameplay.

I feel like I'm making ok progression this season. I'm currently 41 I think but I feel like it's going slower than it could be due to only leveling from challenges. I also feel like I'm enjoying it a little less due to this reason. If I want to reach to level 110 then I know I need to finish mostly every challenge to get there and to me it makes a less enjoyable. The reason I was so invested in season 1 was because I was still able to progress in the BP with regular gameplay and not focused on getting a specific task done. But now I have to make sure I get challenges done otherwise I won't level up period.

Now I'm not saying the challenges are overly difficult or meaningless but I think the whole progression system of season 2 should have been a mix of leveling from just gameplay and from challenges.

  • I think the way this system works is fine, keeping both casual and hardcore players challenged. The problem that I see is in the way they are presented, I'd prefer a system like in Destiny 2, where I can select the 24h challenges that I prefer or that I can finish in my daily session. In Apex, some of the dailies just don't work with my plans, for example if I want to try more SMG / LMG combos to improve my skills, but I get a shotgun damage challenge. Of course, I can ignore those, but there's a feeling of failure when I get in the main screen and see the unfinished challenge(s) (maybe because I tend to be a completionist).
