@KyldenarI will no longer have the skin I purchased after they change it.
It's like if you took out a loan for your house, you live there for years then suddenly the bank comes and paints your doors DooDoo Brown, just to match the new development of house they built two months ago. Yes you still have the livable house, fundamentally nothing has changed but the fact they did it without your consent would anger most people.
Be hones, you know, I know, and even the crybabies know their skill is losing them fights not the sight their opponent is using. They just need something to justify their lack of it. It's only going to get worse, when they blame the next thing. What gets nerfed after this to help them out?
@DankTolietYou know that a digital item, unlike a Mortgage, is not a legally binding contract? And that in fact most mortgage terms note that there ARE limits to changes you can make to a home that could impact the mortaged value? For example, while I might want to knock down my unattached garage, and pay less in property taxes, I would at least need to go to the bank and get a Mortage Amendment approved. So, yes, sometimes in fact the _bank will tell you what you can do with your house._ At least I would hope you know these differences, unless you are in fact 14.
In fact, that EULA you agree to when playing has a passage about them changing or modifying the game code as they see fit:
"From time to time, EA may update, change or modify an EA Service, Content or Entitlements, without notice to you. These updates and modifications may be required in order to continue to use EA Services.
"EA may need to update, or reset certain parameters to balance game play and usage of EA Services. These updates or "resets" may cause you setbacks within the relevant game world and may affect characters, games, groups or other Entitlements under your control."
So, yeah, your argument continues to fall apart under logical scrutiny. So, again, if you are so good you didn't need the iron sights on the gun and the rest of the gun still looks the same, why are you upset about it?
You pay for good, you receive goods.
- BigMacAttack8u3 years agoSeasoned Ace@DankToliet A lot of games have this, they could take your frosting to, also respawn doesn’t do returns, all purchases are final, even heirlooms.
- Kyldenar3 years agoSeasoned Ace@DankToliet No, in fact, that very text above says they can in fact modify the donut in any way, including taking it away, at any time. You know, like happens all the time. Even to Amazon customers and their E-books.
This is why I am still boggled that ANYONE pays for Software as a Service / Free to Play models.- 3 years ago@Kyldenar It's all fair in the fine print, but just because they can does not mean they should. It leaves a bad taste. The longer people will allow it to happen the longer it will continue to happen which is what @DankToliet is essentially getting at I believe.

It's too soon to say for sure, but I believe that Respawn might end up paying dearly for this decision - either monetarily, in terms of the goodwill of the player base, or both.
