Stuck as jump master

I seem to be jump master 98% of the time and its no exageration. I am literally jump master 9 out of every 10 jumps. At one time I was jump master 18 times in a row before it switched to someone else and I was then again 7 times in a row. that's 25 out of 27 jumps.

I have tried everything from different characters to choosing my charachter early or allowing the clock to run down, but It changes nothing.

Normally I don't mind being the jump master because I think I'm okay at it as far as getting to the ground in the otimal time, BUT

It's been going on for a couple of months now and I am actually getting sick of it.

is it a bug?

@i-Norm There's two ways that will lock you in as the Jumpmaster:

1) Being the last one to choose, (and the other two didn't pick their legend before their selection timer had ended)
Note: The only way you won't be the Jumpmaster, is if you didn't pick your legend before your timer had ended, and one, (or both), of the other two players had picked a legend before their timer had ended.
2) Selecting a legend before your timer had ended, (even if you're the first or second one who gets to choose a legend)

Note: The only way this gets overridden, is if the second or third player also picks their legend before their timer had ended.

I've re-read it a half dozen times and I guess I'm still missing it. Feel free to spell it out for me. What is the problem that passing to another player won't solve?

@reconzero I believe they meant the fact that they're getting it "by default", not that they have to transfer it over to another player.

@i-NormI completely understand. If anything would make me give this game up is Always being the Jumpmaster 😅. I've got used to it, then it's like ok guys it's not funny anymore.
The best I can get an understanding of it, is your "power level" of winning as the Jump Master is far higher than the players you queue up with. There are so many stats/factors in Apex I don't think most of them are even thought about to show us on paper.

@XNocturnalGamer Based on how I've seen the game pick Jumpmasters, its not stats or power level based. Its based on who clicked on a legend last, (not get auto assigned), or who was last to pick a legend, if no one else selected their legend during their selection turn.

Yup, okay, didn't misunderstand at all. Who cares who gets it or how often? If you always get it and you don't want it then you pass it over. How is that not "problem solved?"

@reconzero For some, they don't want to be Jumpmaster at all.

For me, whenever I get Jumpmaster, I decide if I want to lead the jump or not. Sometimes, it does get passed on back to me.

The way that I see it, is that everyone has to be the Jumpmaster at some point, but if one really doesn't want to be, there's ways to help avoid being assigned Jumpmaster in the first place, (but its not possible everytime).

@Midnight9746 For me the problem is when the jumpmaster role comes back to you 2 times because they don't want it and the second you decide "ok I'll do it" they immediatly suggest a location where to land. Oh my God! I get really mad do it yourself you had 2 chances.
