Apex Legends I think you guys have ruined the game, taking strafing away from controller players and leaving MNK playing with this option is insane.
I have spent ridiculous amounts of money on this game, spent hours practicing tap strafing just for it to be removed. I understand removing the ability to use cronus zen because they are basically cheating but making it so I cant strafe using steam controller bindings blows me away. you will be losing many many apex players because of this. I hope you people decide to give us some movement back but until then I will not be playing this game including many others.
I have played this game legitimatly the entire time, maybe nerfing aim assist makes sense but removing our only ability to keep up with MNK players is digusting. FIX THIS.
Most of the "advanced" movement mechanics in this game are unintended. People discover new ways to move and do things, then inevitably others start making macros and figuring out how to abuse it. Neo-strafing, tap strafing, wall bouncing, and super glides were never intended to be part of the game. I personally think that movement mechanics should be fully intended and built into the game if you're going to have them.
Wall bouncing I think is fine, but it should be easier and more consistent of a thing to do. It should be designed into the game rather than it being a side effect of climbing. Tap strafing shouldn't be in the game. We're on what, 20 tick servers? Every abrupt movement messes with hit boxes so severely. Even when a Pathfinder swings, they become near impossible to find their hit boxes.
The reason why Mouse players get so upset about tap strafing, is because when you reduce movement, and the game has a lot of aim assist, you are then catering to Controller players. Aim assist should be further reduced, and the movement mechanics should be cleaned up. Cleaning up your game with optimization, intended movement abilities, and weird lurching should be a never ending process to try and refine and limit things that can be abused.
